An great director with several good movies, like the Graduate, on his account has passed on. May his afterlife be calm and peaceful.

I don't think he was the one who got that prize. He was mentioned along with Diane Sawyer as being the prize for someone to have a sail with in the previous part of the sentence along with other prize options but the Carly Simon bidder wasn't named. How cool would that have been, though, to know for sure if it really was Mick Jagger like has been speculated for so long?!
No, it was him. He had an item to bid on, the sail.I don't think he was the one who got that prize. I thought I'd read somewhere that Carly was quoted as having said that it was a combination of a few of her 'ex' lovers? But, the line in the song that mentions a scarf is definately about Mick!I don't think he was the one who got that prize. It was James Taylor.I don't think he was the one who got that prize. My heart goes out to Diane Sawyer (his wife). She has always been my favorite television personality.
This. She's always come across as a classy woman and she stands by her friends in the biz- meaning Robin Roberts. She could have viewed Robin as an adversary but she didn't. Television is a cut-throat business- there's always someone coming up behind you trying to steal your job- and yet Diane seems to be above any of the little games and is just a real person. Her and Robin have a beautiful and loving friendship.I have always loved her voice and she's aging so beautifully. Pure class.
