Just finished The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I had seen it last year and thought it would be something good to try, but then got preoccupied with other books/life. It was in my e-library's recently returned books right before I went on vacation. So glad I checked it out, as I really enjoyed it! Still waiting til my Xmas Revival fix with several of you all!
I bought The Night Circus last year and promptly forgot about it until a couple of days ago when I found it under my bed (lol). Glad to hear you liked it! If I get a chance, I want to dig into that one soon.

Has anyone read Anthony Horowitz' Moriarty? I saw it in the bookstore when I was getting one of BH's Christmas gifts (Serenity graphic novel--you have no idea how hard it was to wrap it without reading it first--lol) and it looked intriguing!

I'm excited, I just got a generous gift card in the mail from my mother, it's much more sizeable than the usual holiday gift amount. This gift card, paired with my Barnes and Noble membership card, paired with a B&N members email coupon for up to 30% off on top of the members discount and the new hardcovers discount...sheesh, I could get a great new book for as much as 60% off. Now I have to peruse this thread for something to read.

i just started The Tommyknockers.

Not one of my favs, Cappy. Just didn't care much for either of the two main characters. King should have cut it down by 1/4 in size.

I read it shortly after it came out and didn't care for it either, but I was only a little older than Cappy is now. Also, later understanding what Sai King was going through at this point in his life, helped me understand the large chuncks of time spent with Gardner's (sp?) character. A recent re-read made me appreciate it more.

Re-reading Gone Girl and just started The Silkworm. Yeay!

I liked Tommyknockers a little better after a (years later) re-read, but it still didn't gel with me. Just weren't likable characters for me.

My pleasure.

It's one of those books that is good, but could have been better. It loses its way a little in the second half, but it is still worth a read.
The plot sounds very interesting, going to try and start it tonight. Almost done with Marcus Luttrell's "Service", his follow up to "Lone Survivor". It's just as good or maybe a bit better.
