Another (and very enthusiastic!) vote for both House of Cards and Breaking Bad from me. Both shows are fantastic, albeit in very different regards. Breaking Bad is just as dark as HOC, but the cinematography is GORGEOUS. The scores are so fun, (love Dave Porter) and the acting is spot on, but my favorite is Walter's transformation from Mr. Chips to Scarface.

HOC is just dark. It's totally nuts!
Love House of Cards.

Fantastic! Breaking Bad is brilliant and I miss watching it...

And Dexter
And Sons
And Weeds
And Walking Dead...

Bloody hell, I need to get a life. :O_O:
I haven't watched Dexter, but it is available to stream on Netflix so I should check it out! I really should give TWD another shot-even if I have to watch it through my fingers! I only made it through the first ten minutes or so of the first episode. :a11:

Oh heck... you'll need eye covering for Dexter too! (But the story is worth it... when I first started watching this, I felt absolutely awful for liking the main character--I thought it probably made me a bad person. :a11: I became more and more desensitised as the series wore on... it still leaves me a little confused now as to where my moral compass lies though. )

I'm thinking I need to IMDB House Of Cards; I don't know the first thing about it, but it certainly keeps coming up in conversation & such :) On the to-watch list, along with maybe Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire...Me & the mister basically give anything a go, within reason ;) And we stick with the stuff we like! We watch a lot of factual stuff too - true crime, history, natural history, biopics and such - so I'd be interested to see what other people like. Cooking shows are good too, but they make you hungry!

House of Cards is a Netflix original series. I am not a political person, but this show is exceptional! Cast and writing is superb!

Hahaha! yes! My god I haven't seen this show in a while. Are there still new ones on? My friends and I would watch this religiously when it first started and I continued to watch up until a couple of years ago. Not sure why I quit, to be honest I think I just plain forgot about it.
Southpark went to a whole new level over the last few years, they've really upped the levels of controversy and insanity. I often watch Southpark thinking "how does that even begin to formulate as an idea in trey and Matt's heads?". I still love it.

The only show in recent years that I have felt compelled to watch the next episode straight after the last was heroes - if you were living under a rock a few years ago you could watch that now.
