Feel bad, like I re brought up this issue..let's get back to the show, shall we? I,for one,am wondering who is next to bite the big one..or rather, who is next to be bit by the big one..don't know how to do it,but we ought to have a voting system to see who in the long term group is next to get chomped..I don't or haven't read the comics, but I am voting for a dark horse here..everyone seems to be guessing Glenn or Maggie, but,I wonder what would happen if Carl got it..could Rick hold it together?
I shudder to think of any of the main group 'buying it'... I know this is what keeps the show interesting, the fear and suspense, but--ahhh... I hate losing people. :biggrin2:

Everybody's guessing Glen so it probably won't be. Maggie, maybe. I think Rick would lose his mind if he lose either one of the kids. I know I'd quit watching if Judith died.
I think Rick would go absolutely batshit crazy. Er. Crazier. If he didn't kill himself (likely), he'd throw himself into a situation where he would die pretty damn quickly.
I think he'd go batshit, absolutely. But I think he'd hang in thee for Judith. If they both died, yeah. I don't think he'd survive.

I considered that, but like LL says,he has Judith to think about..if you are a parent, and you lose a child under those circumstances,do you ever really lose control of your faculties while you still have charge of your baby?Tough question..of course I may be really out there, wonder who you guys think is next up on the block?

They can kill Judith. Yes yes yes, it's a baby. And I adore babies. But she totally throws me out of accepting a zombie apocalypse! lol! She is a baby and she would be howling and have horrible diaper rashes and be hungry. She would be sunburned because they never put a damn hat on that kid until it rained, she is fat and fine -- she would be constantly making noises alerting zombies and other humans to their presence.

Yes, she is a symbol of hope and future.
I think she is the cure to the virus because I always call her the Walker Baby -- born to infected parents. I think her blood will be the key. But, if someone has to go, the baby has to go.

Maybe gasp daryl just to show fans that tjey can kill off who they like tp kill.off.

I think they should kill him, and not because I don't like either the character or the actor (I like both), but because his character arc is stalled and they've truncated other character arcs by overemphasizing him. I noticed that they've pulled back for the last couple of eps, and that's a good thing for the story. Still, unless they have him go 'bad' again, where does this character go? How does he grow or change? So what does he add to the narrative? And even if he DOES go bad again, they'll still kill him because he's already had his first survivable 'redemption'. Keeping him around for rounds of it takes the story into melodrama/soap opera territory. Swear to god, I have nothing against him! He's a good actor! But the characters exist to serve the story, not the other way around.

But, Mz. Dana Jean, I thought they did not become infected until they died?

He's been the survivalist bad boy for 4.5 seasons. It would be a change for his character to figure out where he belongs in a civilized society. And it would be a HUGE change for his character and story to settle into a relationship with a mate. Carol, maybe? Humanity is going to have to start breeding if they're going to survive as a specie. I can see him backpacking a kid while he goes out to check the traps.

Haha Skimom, you are reading my mind!Find it sorta funny, that most of the ones saying that if Daryl gets chomped, and they will stop watching, are ladies! ;) While I like his moxie and trying to rebound from his white trash dna,to be a responsible member of the group,it wouldn't kill me to see him go..and I was thinking that the opening season shocker might just be a smoke grenade for another, bigger, shock this season..meaning I think a major character is due..

Let's all say goodbye to....
"Dinner" HAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAA!

Loved that! Especially when
Daryl was walking around the living room with it during his interview
.

So much happened during this episode!
Loved Carol playing up her silly housewife thing. That woman has a plan. And Daryl's reaction to her dressed up was hilarious. Really want to know more about the little girl- what does she go in the woods for? Where did Rick's gun go? Did you catch the "wolves" on the back of the comic book? Seeing Aiden with his chained up walker spells bad news- with the exception of Michonne- we haven't had too many good interactions with folks who "kept" walkers around. Rick's line at the end was the best- he's still pretty badass, even without the beard (which is apparently in Norman's fridge??!??).
