I ain't read it yet, my books are in the attic - I did pull down a couple of Bachmans - regulators- long walk , say sorry- and four past midnight - when u doing that ???
WE have seven stories left in this book. How does February of next year work? We could do Four Past Midnight. Sai King is supposed to come out with a new book of short stories too in the coming year. I'd love to discuss it. If the group approves, that will be the next read.

Loved the part when he compared 'the tribe' to part of the people leaving Egypt and instead of following Moses, following Joe Camel. Absolutely cracked me up.
Down memory lane. . thanks Vulture:okay:
Once upon a time I smoked:facepalm: - Marlboro were pretty cool (i.e. indication of dedicated smoker)but Camels were the cigarettes of choice for the truly hardass.
Meet Joe (nah, not Black) Camel, relocated to the UK:

I'd forgotten how funny those lines were.
Not just because of the syntax but because of the image.

It seemed so far-fetched at the time
(not the bat-people)
, sneaking outside for a puff.

PS. Me and Nick O'Tine have long parted company. Reduced chest expansion and cigarettes don't make for good friends.
Dumb habit, I know, but we learn through our mistakes, yeah?

Sorry, I went of topic, but oh the memories of discovering Nightmares and Dreamscapes for the first time, second time, third. .

This is one of my "go to" stories when I want something to listen to driving to and from work. I have listened to it a lot of times and I love it every time.

Yeah-or else the bat people will get you!! :O_O:
Do you know if these creatures are similar to the taheen in the Dark Tower series? I thought about this story as I was reading the last Dark Tower book. It's been awhile since I read the Ten O'Clock People, though.
