I know you were only joking, but I really don't get what Mr. Larry Underwood was saying. The opening chapter is King at his best.

I don't want to jump the gun, but unless this book starts seriously sucking in the next 300+ pages, it's up there with 11/22/63 and Revival for me.

Hey, what are you doing reading this book now. You should be preparing your questions for Sunday Survey. ;-D

Somewhere over the rainbow
Stephen King's new book came out today... I gotta go.
For, as my best friends and relatives already know,
I have zero patience and am not prepared to wait;
Certain, as I am, his latest novel will be great.

I'm a fan of almost everything that Stephen writes,
Even if his stories cost me many sleepless nights.
Not because of nightmares (though he's caused a few of those)
But because, until I'd finished, my eyes wouldn't close.

Later... But not much.

Just bought Finders Keepers. I am eyeing it with greed.
I hope no one wants me for a while - I'm off to read.

The woods are lovely dark and deep
Just finished the last book in the Wayward Pines trilogy...really enjoyed them. I had put The Clan of the Cave Bear aside to read the Wayward books, so I'll pick up where I left off there. Also reading Christopher Hitchens's God Is Not Great--eye-opening and intelligent reading.
WP is a trilogy????? I did not know that, maybe that's why I was not impressed with the first book because there was more to come.:icon_eek:

Sitting here, staring at Finders Keepers and knowing I have to finish and review the stupid book lying next to me before I can start it. Likely a bad idea to buy it today, but... but... I HAD TO. The power of King compelled me!

I'm 50 pages in on Finders Keepers... someone(?) mentioned yesterday(?) that they didn't like this and questioned it being Stephen's unravelling? (or something like that)

I don't agree at all, liking it very much so far. Won't mention anything specific in this thread...
Agree. The first chapter is King putting the pedal to the metal in the best way. The opening line is my favorite since "You've been here before."
