It was one of my great hopes that he and Jon Anderson would mend fences and perform together again before something like this happened.
May he RIP- so many of the musical world are playing up above.
I believe he was the one constant member of the group in its many incarnations. So many of us are of a certain vintage and we are loosing so many of our rock idols.
He was EMARX. YES are doing a late summer tour with Toto and Squire was scheduled to be on stage up until he got the bad news on his health a couple months ago. The guy was a rock. I still listen to YES, haven't seen them in concert in a long time. Probably should have.
I never saw them live. Saw Supertramp, Eagles, Styx, and David Gilmour has a new album in the fall and is touring. He's supposed to be in NA next year. I'm hoping Peter Gabriel brings out some new material so I can see him again.
...Chris was the distinctive voice of the band and also it's backbone with that down & dirty backbeat.....
