I will have to try my hardest not to run their jay-walkin', noses buried in the phone, oblivious to their surrounding a**es as I drove through the city. Labor Day is notoriously bad for stupidity due to college students returning and moving in to their apartments, dorms, etc.

Are you going to Boston for this? Oh my. I did this one year for my niece for orientation. Drove for hours and hours from PA in a jeep wrangler. I was in actual tears. Town was a nightmare with traffic, trolleys packed like sardines and luggage

Dropped her off for that, and headed to Salem, Mass. for the day. Took in the sights.

And she went to U of Va after all that.

Yes, Boston it is. I live about 15 minutes south of there. Labor Day is the big move in day for students.

Traffic is always bad here. I live 8 miles from my work. Some days it takes 10 minutes to get there. Others it can take almost an hour. One day this winter it took 2.5 hours. I'm not exaggerating.

I would love to go to one of these. Do they have one every year. This years out for me as I have eye surgery the 10th.
They do have it every year! You should go one day. Think you would really enjoy it.
(((linda))) I'm sorry about your eye and that you have to go through this again. I hope all goes well. I'll be thinking of you.

Just heard this morning that a 7 year old girl is dead. Got hit with a wave, and the rip current took her.
No matter how many warnings people will not stay out of the water.

Had to drive 3 people home from my picnic at midnight because they had too much to drink. One stayed over because I wasn't going to deliver him home to his evil wife in that condition. And people ask why I only ever have one or two drinks at my picnics. I always want to reply "Because someone's got to be freakin' responsible!" I'm kinda glad my picnic season is over.

Just got home from the Jaws showing at Coolidge Corner Theater. It was pretty awesome! Completely sold out. Excellent 35mm print! Audience still jumps and screams in all the right places. They had a scar competition for prizes! The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy was there as well. Excellent organization. Fun time had by all. Now it's back to work and the latest round of family dramarama tomorrow :(
