I have a question. I'm reading Tommyknockers at the moment and the town is called Haven. Is it the same Haven as the TV series?
I don't think it is. I read Tommyknockers a really long time ago so I'm not absolutely sure. I do know however there were quite a few "troubled" folks in Tommyknockers. Different kind of trouble, but trouble all the same.

I've seen first 2 seasons and about to get into 3rd. I really enjoy SK references in each weeks episode. In season 1 they had Carrie one and a couple Rose Madder ones. Has Gerald's Game, 'Salem's Lot and Gerald's Game been referenced yet? And are there any more Carrie references aside from season 1?

No, it's not the same town. Haven in Tommyknockers wasn't on the coast.

Actually, it is the same town. That's a thing I love about show.

Sorry Madden. I must agree with Bev on this one. The towns are similar in name only. But if you play close attention to set piece details you will notice a physical copy of The Tommyknockers makes a cameo appearance in one of the episodes.

I think they're two different towns...

(Haven tv series entry from Wikipedia) According to the map of Haven seen in episode 113, "Spirals", the town is on a neck of land reaching east from the Maine coast. The southern side is the port, which looks uncannily like the port of Lunenburg. On the southern side of Haven Harbor is Tuwiuwok Bluff, from where Jonas Lester was blown by unnatural winds in the series premiere. To the north are several islands including King's, Shepherd's and Segan's Islands.[9] To the east the neck divides in two with a smaller part to the north-east and a larger part to the south-east. The larger part is where Haven Beach is found.

(Tommyknockers entry from The Shape Under The Sheet) Haven began as Montville Plantation in 1816. Derry was twenty miles away, so that plantation lumber could be floated downriver. (I think this puts Haven North of Derry rather than on the coast.)
