I actually haven't seen many copies of any of her books in used bookstores or thrift stores. Come to think of it, there's slim pickings on Steve's books out here in Spokane, too. Don't know if that means that his readers here are hanging on to them or if there's not a big market for his novels out this way. I get the feeling that Spokane-ites don't do a lot of reading.....
You think you have slim pickin' s - just remember where I live!!! ;-D ;;D

Speaking of Tabby books, am I the only one who has noticed The Trap is soooo easy to find in thrift shops and used bookstores (I see it everywhere) but none of her other books are? Did it have a larger printing or something?
Yeah neighbor, I've seen that one at several thrift shops and UBS. I'm on the lookout for Pearl.

I might possibly be one of the SKMB members who has a lot of signed Hill books (of those who have posted here anyway ? ). But John says that Hill signs everything, so it's not that big of a deal. :(
Morgan, I bet Steve signed anything and everything when he first started out, too. There comes a point in a popular author's life when they have to say "I'm only going to be able to sign the new book, not the 12 dozen that I've written in the past." Trust me, it's going to happen to Joe at some point. A lot of authors will set a limit to three books or sometimes even two now. The only popular author I know that hasn't set a limit for signing books is JA Jance. Her motto is 'I will leave no book left unsigned.'

Thanks, KRF! I was telling myself the same thing, so it must be true! ;-D

That's true. Hell, one could send books to Steve via mail to be signed up until his accident, as we all know.

I stumbled on a great place for used books. I had some books I wanted to get rid of and I noticed a link on our library web site about donations. The link gave me the location of a used book store that took donations of books with all the proceeds from the store going to the library. The store is run by volunteers and is only open 3 hours a day on Wednesday and Friday and it's located in an industrial park. I had been planning to drop off my books there for several weeks but the 3 hour window never worked until today. I went by just to drop off my books and what I found was this gigantic used book store with an incredible selection and all the books looked to be in great shape. I picked up a couple of Michael Koryota hardcovers that look almost new. I've found a new place to go if I whenever can carve out some time on a Wednesday or Friday morning.

So, ever since I saw Nights With Sasquach in Kingrice's collection, I've been wanting to own a copy for my WTF pile. It looks so deliciously stupid that I must have it. Looked on Amazon--holy crap, 150 bucks? What the heck, did Bigfoot autograph the thing? Gotta be a cheaper copy out there.
$150!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously?????? That's insane!!! I paid a dime for this thing! I just checked on thriftbooks.com and it's listed, but out of stock. Just checked on abebooks ($150)- description is as follows: 'A Bigfoot Erotica classic'. If it's a 'classic', does that mean there are more of these types of books out there? Is there a whole genre of 'bigfoot erotica' that has been here-to-fore been unknown to us all? Who reads this stuff? =D

Today the mailman delivered a quite nice 1st printing hardback of Black Sunday by Thomas Harris that I found on ebay for only $20 with free shipping! It's Harris' first novel. Haven't read it since it came out in paperback years ago, so it's going in the re-read pile. It will be interesting to see what this middle-aged man thinks of it compared to the teenager he was for the first reading all those years ago...
