Hit 'n Run Phase 2 clocks at exactly 57 minutes and 57 seconds. He became 57. Anyone else notice this? And it's not like there's music til the end, he lets it run to that after the last song. There's no secret track or last sound at the end.

He has said in 2012 that he believed once someone would put out what's in the vault, so basically he was not against it. So I really hope there will be more albums. It would be sad if we never got any new albums anymore.

It's a really nice album, quite different from Phase 1. But that's what I love about Prince, he's never about what you might expect - even if something is successful he followed it up with something completely different - Around the World in a Day after Purple Rain, LoveSexy after Sign 'o' the Times - always challenging his audience, never playing it safe. It's always different, you just know it's always gonna be good.

Listening to the extended mix of Gett Off- it's so Prince.......;-D
'Everything 'bout you screams of a real sexy affair,
The nasty way you walk, the way you flip yo' hair,
Baby girl, I'm all veins, you're smokin' that body rare,
Betcha I'm gonna pack a lunch and spend a while there.....'

Have you heard Violet The Organ Grinder? It's on the same cd with the extended mixes of Gett Off.
'I was on my way to another woman
when an image of you sweetly,
Appeared in the middle, perhaps you recall,
you and I were neatly,
In the middle of a Crystal Ball.....'

Prince was really something in how he put sexuality out there. Critics be damned!
Yep! That's why I loved him so much. He did what he wanted to do and to H*ll with what people thought. Sometimes it was maddening for his mega-fans (like when he wouldn't release his older records on digital after he got his master tapes back from Warner Bros.) or when he would just randomly play a show here and there across the country with only 24 hrs. notice for ticket buyers or host a party at Paisley Park with only a few hours notice. God, I would've loved to have gone to the Park and seen him play in his home!!! I don't know of any other artists who would open up their home to their fans and play shows that would last for hours and hours sometimes.

Thank you for those, Dan.
I've been kind of surprised at how much his death is affecting me. I mean, I always loved the guy, grew up with his music, listened to it a lot...but... I don't know if it has to do with the fact that he and I were close in age, but it's really depressed me A LOT. I have listened to his music almost nonstop since he died, and just can't seem to stop. I guess I just keep thinking that I don't like the way this world is set up. Live, die, done. It can be very depressing.

...I said somewhere earlier that I had never cried at a celebrity death...I forgot my monumental sense of loss and wave of tears when Casey Kasem left us...I can't listen to rebroadcasts of the countdown without a whiff of the oil on the Reaper's blade...I sense I know what you're feeling...
