Fun comic book flick that works so well because it doesn't take itself - and the genre - seriously at all. Quite the opposite in fact. Given its irreverent tone, I can't help but wonder if this is will turn out to be a one hit wonder because the shock value is a novelty it can only play once. Ryan Reynolds was born to play this role.

Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox--very enjoyable animated movie! Not for little kids--there's language and violence--but interesting for older kids and comic fans. I watched it because I read something online that said the CW's The Flash will possibly draw from this comic next season. Since I didn't like the end of the season finale, I thought I'd take a look.

....nope, the concept still has some legs....eventually it'll be stale and annoying, but right now it's funny as hell and people will be lined up to see the next....

The Straight Story starring Richard Farnsworth and Sissy Spacek. Directed by David Lynch but this is NOT a typical Lynch movie. This one is sweet and quiet and moves along at a slow pace but is still a powerful film. My sister hadn't seen it so that's what we watched. She liked it a lot.

Ally Sheedy is listening to Prince in her headphones in this movie, which was cool (for me) at the time because Prince wasn't well known back then.
OT (sully, sully, sully), but I've been listening to the love symbol CD all day. I'd forgotten what a fabulous album that is! Tremendous range of styles. His 'heavy metal' album :)
