She was a great coach. I agree. Of all the ways to go, losing your cognition is the most frightening to me.

I was very sorry to hear this.
I'm going to sound cold, but it might have been a good thing.
They call it the long goodbye. Heartbreaking. Heartbreaking for the people suffering with it who blink in occasionally and realize what is happening to them. And then they blink out and forget, which is God's grace.

But for the family, it is a constant. Having someone you love look at you and not know who you are, maybe being scared of you, or suspicious, crying at you. So sad.

It was a blessing she went quickly.
