Usually, I don't mind going to the laundromat (kids stay home, I can read while machines do all the work).
I also usually don't mind when fellow launderers strike up friendly conversation.
But when it's just me and a dude in there and I'm giving off signals that I'd rather not be bothered, it's annoying.
And when the forced small talk turns quickly to how his ex "turned batsh!t crazy" and "took out a PFA" that is just creepy.
Ugh, why me????

I have a question - does working out later in the evening make it harder to get to sleep?

I normally go to the gym around 3 p.m. but for various reasons I could not make it there until 7 p.m.

Did a one hour workout until 8 p.m. and now here it is around 12:30 a.m. and I feel like I could just hang out here on the SKMB forever.

Weird

But since I must be up at 0530 guess I will force myself to sign off

Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
:)

I always work out after work which around 4:30 pm. I find myself being able to sleep a lot better, at night time. Plus, the added benefit of getting to work out my frustrations at the gym regarding work :)

ABSOLUTELY!
even though your body is in "recovery mode" after a workout, your muscles are still working. Energy is still moving through your body and your oxygen intake is increased. More oxygen makes your brain work faster as well.

This is why casinos pump extra oxygen and O2 into their establishments. It wil keep you there, keep you alert, and keep you awake. That is why some people can spend HOURS in a casino and not get tired.

Try early bed and morning workouts or workout as soon as you get home from work. When bed time rolls around, you'll be tired and sleep like a baby.

Sand sticking to sun lotion, blehh ... then you go in the water and yer oily ... the beach is fun, but I don't wanna be there all the time ....

I like to go and watch the gulls steal all the food from the folks who leave it out in the open while they're in the water. Have you noticed that the gulls prefer Doritos over Lays? :D

While in Yellowstone National Park last summer I saw a black crow (big as a hen) land on a parked motorcycle, use its beak to unlatch back pack, and reach in for bag of chips. Flying overhead it dropped chips and once bag opened he ate them greedily.

I believe I know this crow. He goes and steals things out of my friend's field without any regard to his feelings whatsoever.....

I think it does take a while for your endorphins to settle back down after a good workout. I like to go right after work - 5:30/6ish. If I see that I won't be making it by then, I'll go during lunch.

Happy Wednesday to you! Wednesdays are tough days for me. Thursday is my second favorite day.

We went on a whale watch one time, but only saw a bunch of endorphins......:D
