View attachment 17666 I stitched this for my mother several years ago. Just got it back from the nursing home yesterday just in time to remember Mom on the 6th anniversary of her death. I'm very happy to have this back and it will proudly be displayed on a wall in my home.
Beautiful! What a nice way to remember your mom.

That's beautiful. Working on black can be really difficult, but the colours are so beautiful on it.

Not sure if this is worthy of the thread but here goes...
One of my friends is trying to talk me into putting some cards that I make into a local Christmas Craft Fair. They are just
plain white card stock and envelope with pictures I have taken on the front of the card. Haven't decided yet if I will but
it was nice of her to think they are good enough to sell. If I do this, some will be Christmas type pics I have taken of
holly, poinsettias and winter scenes.

That sound very interesting. Crafted cards are always so special to send.

That really is lovely. I'm sure it brought your mom a lot of joy, not only because it's beautiful but because you made it for her.

I think you should do it.

DIL bought some cards when we went to a PowWow. They were pictures of paintings, and it was the artist selling them. She was not buying them to send....she was framing them to hand in her step daughter's room.

Have you ever saw them sold anywhere? Just wondered about pricing. I was thinking $2.00 each. Or is that too high?

I think you are way undercutting yourself if you sell those for $2. Think of the costs of adhesives, printing and paper then add in the time spent! I dunno I think handmade cards should cost more than store bought ones and those prices are CRAZY! I think they would sell like hotcakes at $2 each but I would not price them below 3.50 (at the lowest)!Good luck with them and I hope you'll post pics!

It is just beautiful Terry. You have so much patience to do that and there is a lot of love in that stitching.

I think I just about have myself talked out of doing it. Went through my pics last night and they just aren't good
enough to sell. Maybe next year ...

An update on my stocking. Baby is due in a few weeks, but they know this won't be given in time. They will have it for Christmas though. After I finish all the X's I will then do all the backstitch and bring my picture to life.

And just because I'm feeling silly, here's my backside. ;)
