What are the common themes? Howard Hughes as the Tic-Toc man, that'd be a new take. King has that Hearts in Suspension just out from the University of Maine press and included in that are essays from others from that time period, the fabled 60s. Don't know Dorn. Given a chance I'll certainly check him out. Two volumes, hey? Welcome aboard. New Mexico? Relatives there...Santa Fe. Aunt Bea and Dennis, some cousins, Smart Aleck and his bro.

If you haven't read Dorn I highly recommend him. I find his book a possible form of inspiration because it was published around the time King was first contemplating the storyline for this series (1968)
