I've been reading an Inspector Wallander novel Troubled Man, by Swedish author Henning Mankell. This is my first Wallander book, although I've seen the tv-series based on the characacters. A slowly progressing novel, just like the tv-series.
I tried to watch the series, but it was so slow, I just couldn't stay motivated to care.

Been trying to finish with The Book of Disquiet, Fernando Pessoa...before I start on other things. Been reading this one since June...it's a tome you can put down easily, as there are a multitude of numbered segments...this Pessoa guy was a hoot. He'd created all these persona-s...people call them "fully-developed heteronyms" I spell that right? Everywhere I read that, "fully-developed"...blah blah. Sounds like something Swift wrote...those horses? Seems funny...almost like "live entertainment". I've put stories down...maybe half a dozen over the years...and this is one I'll finish...a bit over halfway there. He has some nice lines in this one...“metaphysics has always struck me as a prolonged form of latent insanity.” and
“inside the coop where he'll stay until he's killed, the rooster sings anthems to liberty because he was given two roosts.”

I've read 92 titles this year...my goal a hundred. Last year it was 181 plus or minus a few and even I don't know how I did that. This year, I had other goals that I have not met, alas. But I've time, winter.
