Weekly Survey 11-20-16

1. Favorite Thanksgiving fixin'? Peanut Butter Pie.

2. Any particular candle scent you have to buy & burn? Cashmere Woods......do I still get to keep my guy card? That looks stranger typed out than it does when I'm buying the refills at the grocery store for some reason..

3. What was your favorite game as a kid? They didn't have games when I was a kid. We walked to school in the snow...uphill....BOTH WAYS!....actually I was always partial to kickball.

4. Flavored water, yea or nay? Flavored water GNT? Really? Must be an Ohio thing...LMAO

5. You ever have a nickname?....and did you like it? Ghost, an inner circle nickname when I worked in CID. I never minded that one. Of course, I was also called DB, Numnuts, Shaniqua, and many other colorful names in said same inner circle..lol

6. Circus or Carnival? Carnival. Never been to a circus.

7. Cannibals or Zombies? Cannibalistic Zombies? Just point me in their direction...I have an app for that...

8. Was King your first favorite or not? Mr. King was indeed my first favorite author. He was the first author I ever read who seemed to understand the world wasn't all rainbows and unicorns, a fact I also knew but didn't know how to articulate at that young of an age.

9. if you have ever smoked, did you prefer filtered or unfiltered? Filtered. I've always been a Marlboro smoker when I smoked.

10. And most importantly-what type of cookies will you be sending me this year? I don't think you'd want to consume any cookies prepared by me bro. I'm quite capable of screwing up a bowl of soup...lol

Weekly Survey 11-20-16

1. Favorite Thanksgiving fixin'? Turkey

2. Any particular candle scent you have to buy & burn? Incense

3. What was your favorite game as a kid? Flicking footy cards, closest to the wall keeps the card. Also, marbles.

4. Flavored water, yea or nay? I like Lemon Barley. I also like Lime cordial.

5. You ever have a nickname?....and did you like it? Hammerhead. Shark. Terry (as in the English television show 'Minder', Terry McCann.)

6. Circus or Carnival? I think carnival because the last book I read was Theodore Sturgeon's The Synthetic Man. Junky and Horty.

7. Cannibals or Zombies? Neither.

8. Was King your first favorite or not? He was near the first. The first writer I got heavy into was Robert E Howard. That was around 1978 when I was 13. I read all the Conan and Solomon Kane stuff by 15. I also liked George MacDonald Fraser, and I read many of his Flashman novels. Stephen King I read around 1978/79. I remember seeing the mini-series of Salem's Lot and then I read the book so that was in 1979. In 1980 I won a prize for best research in the library and the librarian gave a prize and I asked for Salem's Lot. Then in 1980 we went to the pictures( the kids at the school I went to could pick at the end of year for the last two weeks what they wanted to do. I used to pick film appreciation. Our French teacher took us to see The Shining. So then I read his book. I was 15 then.

10. And most importantly-what type of cookies will you be sending me this year? I can't afford to send anything by airmail as it will go off on the plane. I like cinnamon donuts. I don't know if they have Krispy Kreme places in America, but you can go to the petrol station and they sell boxes of creme donuts. Yummy. My relative from America she's in Sydney at the moment.

I did like Perfection, too.

5. You ever have a nickname?....and did you like it?-A few. None I really hated.

-i don't celebrate thanksgiving

2. Any particular candle scent you have to buy & burn?
-i forgot that exact scent but it was. . . Like a orchird? Or any good smelling flowent acent candles

3. What was your favorite game as a kid?
-I play two stuff
1. Outdoor games (filipino games, like Luksong Baka, Patintero, Bente-uno, ice ice water, bang chuck, agawang buko, etc.)
2. Video games (Assassin's Creed, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, SSX Tricky, Guitar Hero, The Warriors, GTA series, Sonic riders, Sonic heroes, digimon, etc.)

4. Flavored water, yea or nay?
-YAY! Depends on the flavor

5. You ever have a nickname?....and did you like it?
-i hate my "Ren-Ren" nickname, but i do love "Regie" or "Reg"

6. Circus or Carnival?
-i both grow up seeing those two so why not both?

7. Cannibals or Zombies?
-Zombies are Overrated, The only cannibal that i probably watch was Hannibal so IDK.

8. Was King your first favorite or not?
-Bob Ong was my first fave (as what i said in other thread, Bob Ong is a filipino writer), i only discover King because of Bob Ong's Stainless Longganisa and his recomendation of King's On Writing

9. if you have ever smoked, did you prefer filtered or unfiltered?
-i do not smoke

10. And most importantly-what type of cookies will you be sending me this year?

Stuffing drowning in gravy topped with those French's fried onion things.

I like apple scented candles: baked apple pie, mulled cider, etc. Woodwicks are nice, but we usually buy locally made ones.

Regular game: Connect Four
Video game: Tetris.
I still play both often.

So - the board is closing as of Wednesday until November 28th! Yikes - glad to see the mods will get some time off.

So tune in to your regular bat channel/bat station for the next survey which will take place on December 4th - maybe we'll all be ready for some Christmassy type questions.

Our cable channel/weather channel has started with the Xmas carols already - wow

Guess I could put that artificial tree up soon

Maybe I will get #2 son and his significant other to help!

I think they are peanut butter mixed with powdered sugar and then covered in chocolate. They look like bon bons and when you pick one up they look like a 'buck's eye'.
