The Flinstones.

Arista, In my early 20's I got into a near violent (no, more just like heated) argument with an acquaintance, because I maintained we never actually saw (your boyfriend) 'Joe Rockhead' on the show! I'd never seen him so I assumed he was unseen. Like my favorite unseen character Diane from Twin Peaks! Or ‘The Scranton Strangler’ from The Office. Of course I was wrong, and we HAD seen Joe Rockhead. This guy was freaking out! But I really believed it. Before you put him up for sainthood, this jerk had a pez dispenser he claimed was a rare 'Elmo' from the Flintstones (Raspy voice: Here's yer paper Mr. Flintstone), and I know there was no such damn thing! But it resembled him. I wonder what could it have been?

Do you suppose Joe Rockhead is wearing underwear under that snood shirt? Or does he go commando?!!

This is not a cartoon, but it was on Saturday mornings, brought to you by the same Filmation that produced the Flash Gordon animated show on one of the other pages here. Columbia Pictures did indeed buy the name "Ghostbusters" ... (I loved it as a kid, maybe for some it might be a 'worst' but not for me.)

The Ghost Busters - Wikipedia

And yeah, it's probably pretty bad, judging by the theme, but still, they were there first (and perhaps the inspiration for that gorilla character from the Mighty Boush?)

Theres definitely some pretty good stuff in that list

In the early 60's there was the show Q T Hush. About a bumbling detective , assisted by His Shadow(alter Ego) and his manic dog Shamus. It has a very surreal opening. Its a very odd tv show.:)

And I've been watching it too!

I forget did anybody mention Voltron yet? And how about the Biker Mice From Mars? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-ish I suppose, but still it was fun enough for all of that. Also the Ghost Busters became a cartoon as well under the title The Original Ghostbusters ....

Sweet Fancy Moses!!! That intro was better than Ghostbusters (1984), the sequel, the recent chick movie (I'm sorry ladies), and all the cartoons! I've never seen this before. And there was Larry Storch & Forrest Tucker! You know what they say about Forrest Tucker. Oh yes you do!
