Just a few more pictures - thank you all for your kind comments.
This is just a hobby, which is partly a record of Jewish life in London (sorry, can't display those) and partly my idealized world.

What is it about ducks?
Apart from the fact that they taste nice and they're kosher.

Ducks look lovely and they don't seem to have any issues with humans (in the UK).
Unlike, British swans, who've got anger management issues. . :hammer:

Meet Mr. Tubby.
A polydacytl puss.
Technically, a family member as he belongs to my brother and sister-in-law
Think Maine Coon and you know he's biggggggg.

A vase of flowers on a table in Nisan (this month, in the Hebrew calendar).
I think this is a love it/hate it picture.

When I first printed I thought, uh huh, this'll always be just for me.
Then I remembered that there are people who see things through different eyes.
That would be you guys.

Self-portrait for funeral/memorial sheet.
I'm so grateful that I can think about my death without being paralyzed with fear - that's a big ol' blessing.

I'm being stalked by a disease that will overtake me, one day.
But at least I know the what, where and why - it's a bit like Stationary Bike from Just After Sunset.
Give some, take some.

I love this shop's displays.
Yep, it makes everything look decidedly needful.
But also because you just know that there's a story behind every object in that window.

Just in case anyone from SCH charity shop finds this (stranger things happen), thanks for letting me take the photo.

Gotta go. Zeds of the bed calls me
I'll probably post one more collection, then call it a day.
Again, thank you all.:howdy:
I love all of them. But I must comment about your funeral photo. Which is lovely by the way. I admire and have great respect for you that you can matter of factly deal with your disease, but it does give me pause. You are basically a stranger to me, but yet, part of our family here and I don't want to lose you. I get selfish that way. I don't want you hurting and I hold onto hope that they will be able to overcome your disease, and knock it back! Every single day there are medical breakthroughs and I really pray that a breakthrough comes for you.

....it's my riff on the old "Scooby Dooby Doo!" cartoon battle cry.....

Scooby Doo (the cartoon) was priceless, just like the real-life Scooby Doos aka Great Danes.

I fostered a Great Dane, one summer.
Truly, they are canine celebrities - jaws drop, little children laugh, joggers change direction, cats give you an extra dose of stink-eye, the postman says many bad words and dog-lovers can't stop grinning.
It was a fun summer:joyous:

Did we need a live-action film, though? Oh no. .:facepalm_smiley:

I had a family of polydacytl pussy cats. I love these pics!!!!
Polydactyl pusses are great, but considered spooky (in the UK, anyway), because they're big. Mr. Tubby hooked-up with a much smaller puss (Elsie). End result: five kittens - some poly, some not.

My brother and his family kept one polydactyl kitten, James - the other four are living happily in rural England.
Now, Mr. Tubby and James can stand (oh yes), give a high-five and open doors (thank you, brother-of-mine)
And Elsie is mortified that her son is twice as big as she is.

Planet of the Cats, anyone. . ?

Dana Jean - thank you for your kind words.
You're not "basically a stranger" to me - I think if we met, we'd be yada yada yada!

When you share a passion for an author with other people - for us, its SK - it goes way beyond being a fangirl (or guy).
It's about sharing the same world view.
It's about grasping the same ideas.
It's about holding the same ideals close to your heart and letting them take root in your soul.
And most particularly (because it's SK that brings us all together), it's about not being afraid of the darkness inside us and realizing that you can't have light without darkness.

And we can't have life without death.

My condition is genetic, incurable and progressive.
The wonderful National Health Service have done everything possible and then some.

I choose to get busy living - the dying bit will take care of itself.
Religious Jews (like me) don't pray for miracles, but we do pray for the strength to deal with the hand we've been dealt.
Sometimes the strength is within me, waiting to be discovered.
Sometimes it's pharmaceutical strength (Thanks Doc!)

You (and the dudes on the Board that I especially click with) are a source of strength too.

So, thanks for being on my team, part of my crew.
Never a stranger :shake:

Thank you. THank you for this. I really click with you too, and I only have a small percentage of eastern jewish, so I will pray for the miracles for you. But, you have time right? Is that too intrusive to ask?

You touch my spirit and soul. I shall pray for the strength to deal with the hand you have been dealt. I shall pray for your inner peace. A candle has been lit and remain so. We are here for you. I am proud to have you as a Tet mate. I send you love and green lights.

It's not too intrusive, bless you!

How much time?
I don't know.
And I don't think my doc(s) know, for sure.

A friend who's known me since I was 18 (!) thinks that I still have things to do, places to go and people to see.
Then, when everything's in order, I'll let go.

Thank you for your beautiful words.

I'm truly touched (& a touch amazed) at the amount of good vibes out there, in SKland.

We are a testament to the good side of this here internet.
It's such a pity that the nutjobs and fruitcakes are front and centre.

But in the corner of the picture, small, but significant. .
This true crew.

Thank you:clap:
