Sorry, Ms. Mod, this thread is about the Game of Thrones TV show which SOME of us are enjoying......HAHAHAHA!!!:p:p:biggrin::p

I think CAT might have read this one though.........;)
I searched for the book but this was the only thread that popped up. I do remember someone having mentioned it and CAT is probably who it was. BTW, have you started reading Outlander yet?

9 out of 10 on this retort, Ms. Mod. :applause::applause::biggrin-new:

If I didn't have to go out and water my petunias I'd come up with an equally devastating one......:beaten:

Has anyone read A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms? I just got a copy and wondered what others who've read it thought of it.
It was me! :) I liked it, the second story was the best, I thought. I enjoyed the two main characters. It does tie in, but loosely, this book's events are before Game of Thrones. So you will recognize some names and places.

Hope you like it!

So, who's going to sit the Iron Throne at the end?
Not Cersei. By taking it now, it rules her out of being there at the end. From the look on his face, Jaime will see to that. Then he'll be taken out by Ser Gregorstein, who in turn will be taken out by Arya - or maybe the Hound, overcoming his fear of fire to torch his not so dear brother (and return the favour for his scars).
Not Jon, Dany, Sansa or Arya either. In fact, none of the main/obvious contenders. For me, it'll either be Gendry (remember him? Still paddling around the Narrow Sea somewhere...), Tyrion or...the Night King!

More predictions:
Euron to encounter Dany's fleet. Dany will win (dragons vs wood = win for the dragons), but at a heavy cost...including a dragon.
Theon will actually do something.
Bran will reveal Jon's true parentage, causing a bit of a crisis at Winterfell.
Humour (dark):
King's Landing. Yep. Well named.
My prediction for the iron throne
Either Gendry Snow or Jon Snow ( Bran Stark as a possible third) married to Daenerys

It feels weird not being ahead with the books.

Game of Thrones: Season 7 production will start 'little bit later' than usual

Says co-showrunner Dan Weiss: 'Winter is here, and that means that sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes any more'

Winter’s arrival means Game of Thrones cast members may receive a longer vacation than usual.

Game of Thrones executive producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss told the UFC Unfiltered podcast that production on season 7 will begin at a later date than what’s normal for the series.

“We’re starting a little bit later because, at the end of this season, winter is here, and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more,” Weiss said. “We kind of pushed everything down the line so we could get some grim, gray weather, even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”

Earlier this year – and again last month – Benioff and Weiss said their hope was to end Game of Thrones after roughly 13 more episodessplit across two seasons. HBO has not confirmed the showrunners’ plans, nor commented on Weiss’ recent quotes about a delay in production. Game of Thrones normally begins production on its new season in July.

So what is confirmed for season 7? The current crop of directors who have signed on: three Thrones alums in Alan Taylor, Jeremy Podeswa, and Mark Mylod, and series newcomer Matt Shakman.

Thanks! Will be a while before I get to it at the rate I've been reading lately.
