I just started reading Carrie. Did king make up her moms religion
Every religion has its extremes. To me, Carrie's mother was a nutjob. Her beliefs had nothing to do with the Bible and everything to do with her own, subverted doctrine. She quoted (and misquoted) the Bible but I think she used it to control Carrie, more or less. I don't want to give away any plot points so I'll just repeat what Nottie said, read on.

Congratulations man! I got bullied a lot my first couple of years of college. By algebra! I still occasionally dream there are old algebra papers and tests I haven't turned in. Also, I'm not wearing any pants.

Somewhere over the rainbow
:fatigue:
Bought a rider mower; it's my husband's latest toy.
We've been cleaning up the yard; a hobby some enjoy.
Working in the garden? I consider it a chore:
Weeding, edging, planting, raking. Now my back is sore.

Gardening as relaxation? Not if you ask me.
Can't we just consider weeds as flowers we got free?
Don't we all have better things we'd rather do in May?
Wish I could convince the neighbors to see things my way.
