Thanks everyone. Day is almost over. What a day. Proceeded to clean kids room and sucked up his DS charger in the vacuum.Hubby manage to get it out. Just crazy I tell ya. Ooo I 'll buy we need at least a case to get over this day. Feeling better now and calmer. And sister is moving ,I can have my house back and my space.
((KFF)) Glad your crazy day is almost done. Yeay for getting your house back!! Even family can get old after a bit.
Forgot to say I got a beautiful package from a wonderful member here who made my day!
That's a wonderful little moment in the crap storm of a day you were having!
here's my funny/scatterbrained moment of the day. the light in our garage has had a bad ballast for awhile. couldn't turn it on all the way without flickering the switch a lot (always seems to snap fully on right when you go to snap it off, that sort of fun). finally was getting to the point of not even coming on. well our usually absent landlord (which is both good and bad, depending on the situation), finally came by to get some stuff of his that's been lingering in the garage, so i gave him the list of things that need doing. he makes note of it, says, i'll get to it (we're at the "we'll believe it when we see it" stage, because he's got the landlord equivalent of ADD). today, a week or so later, i go out into the garage to get something from the freezer out there. snap on the light, do my thing, snap it off, go inside. stop, look around kind of puzzled, think to myself "did the light just come on?" had to go back out and check it, yep, landlord snuck by some time and fixed up the light, didn't even know he'd been there lol. and i had one of those delayed reaction moments they always show people having.

Getting ready to go upstairs to have a nice long bubble bath in my deep soaker tub - hoping I won't wake up my son who is on a normal schedule.
Just find lately it's hard to wind down after working a shift where I get home after 10:30 p.m. and sometimes after 11.
Boss has me scheduled to work a day shift where I have to be there at 8 a.m. after working so many nights in a row - you'd think that would be against the law! (This is not until near the end of the month)
I did get a bit of shopping done today - tomorrow is cooking time - plan to make a nice pasta dish with vegetables and lots of melty mozzarella cheese (yum!)

My daughter had this problem when she was working at Walgreen's. Her manager was pretty awful. She works at a high-end men's clothing store now and has steady hours. Thank goodness!
So far, the only thing I did was wake up and drink three coffees.
Gonna need even more, I love that stuff.
What will I do? Exercise, that`s the only thing that is for sure every day, but otherwise...no idea yet.

Well, I guess she is not completely unreasonable - I just asked if I could have October 1st off as one day unpaid and she said okay. I need to hit the road early that day as I have a long drive ahead of me.
Working from home today.
Watching the rain and wind from what's left of Hurricane Jose out my window. Sneaky trickster slid back in along the NE coast.
Will do some cleaning around SwiftDog Manor.

I have 1/2 bushel of apples to do something with. I kinda want to do something different with the left over chicken. Need to put in 2k of words. Gotta find out when where IT is showing.
