Sorry. Voila.
I thought you did it on purpose! (Sorry if I embarrassed you) - I had a coworker who did that all the time - he said "Viola" when he meant voila!
:biggrin-new::thumbs_up:

In Canada we have two official languages - English and French, but I am hardly bilingual, even though my Dad was French from Quebec.

Doesn't mean there wasn't affection at the beginning. People change, and so do marriages. If you're lucky, you move in the same direction. In this case, they did not (sexually, anyway). Assuming Gerald "didn't care about her" is a bit of a stretch, too. He was excited by his game (and the result, though bad, wasn't something he anticipated), and so pushed for his own way, but that doesn't mean that in general he didn't care about her.
Reviving an old thread - yes - often there is more to a marriage than meets the eye

For safety and security, plain and simple. After what happened during the eclipse, there was nothing she wanted more than safety and security. And, I suppose, normalcy. Gerald was embarrassingly normal, until the bracelets came out.
Poor old Gerald -

I saw the film of Geralds Game. I gotta say without discussion of why people do anything it was one of the creepiest films I have ever seen. You don't need to have ever heard of or read the book. All by itself it was just creepy. One of my favorite King adaptations.
I hope I get to see the film some day - the book was great :nevreness:
