Since the whole Instagram thing was not working for me to post here, I finally downloaded a new app to resize picture files. Other than downloading the wrong app first (downloaded app for videos) the app actually works easy. And it was free.
Am I correct that just cropping does not actually resize the file? Or maybe just not enough sometimes? This app actually shows me what size the file is and what size it is shrinking it to.
Dimensions aren't necessarily relevant to file size.

Adding Or Modifying Your Avatar
By default, SKMB integrates with Gravatar. If you have a Gravatar associated with the email address you registered with you're set to go. If you don't know what Gravatar is don't worry we have you covered. Simply click Avatar from your Account Menu and browse for a picture to upload. Your best bet here is a close up head shot but any image will do. The software will automatically resize your avatar.

Since I’ve been a member of this board, the only way I have figured out how to upload photos is by using an app called imagur and then generating a link on my computer. Can anyone tell me a simple way to upload photos from my iPhone to this message board? I feel very silly asking this, but I love to show you some pictures the baby chicks at the preschool.
I don’t know if I can explain it that well. But see the square shaped icon by the emoticon icon above where you write your message for posting? That’s where I paste the URL for the pictures I copy for my posts. If it’s a photo from your phone look below and see “Upload a file” and you can then choose a picture from your library. Click on Full Image if you want it bigger.
If you want to upload Images from a Device or PC, click on "Upload a File"
I’m sorry, I’m at work so I don’t have a lot of time to research through this whole thread, but how can I upload images from my phone? I have an iPhone. I’ll try and research it more later when I have more time, but if there’s a quick way to do it, like from Facebook or something, let me know.
I’m pretty clear on how to upload files using the media icon or the photo icon at the top, but using the upload a file feature does not work from my phone; it gives me an error message. Any idea how I can fix this?
