We used to do the same thing on the front stoop of my cousins house. There was my sister, myself, and 2 female cousins...so I got to be David Cassidy while we performed for the imaginary audience and the occasional drive bys!RIP David Cassidy.
I've been telling my coworkers this story all week: when I was a kid growing up in jersey City, NJ, my friends and I were obsessed with this show. We used to get whatever magazine was out at the time with the lyrics to their songs in it and "play" the Partridge Family. We'd all gather on the front stoop of a big apartment building down the block from where I lived and take our positions and sing the songs. That had to be around 45 years ago (!!!) at this point but I can still vividly see us in my mind's eye having a blast!
To this day, I love those songs. Even though I count post-punk bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees among my favorites, those pure pop tunes still do it for me. Here's one of my faves!
For real? So cool!We used to do the same thing on the front stoop of my cousins house. There was my sister, myself, and 2 female cousins...so I got to be David Cassidy while we performed for the imaginary audience and the occasional drive bys!

....the body succumbed to years of alcohol abuse mainly....I'm not really familiar with his music but I saw him on Dr. Phil and felt really bad for him, he was not in good shape, very sad.
