I think it depends on what he/she would be able to handle. Maybe hold off on the scarier stuff or material that has adult content until a bit older? My first read was Christine at 16. With no ill effects.

I liked the movie, but of course, movies are never like the books. I was disappointed with how much information from the book was left out. Now I read first, then see the movie.:biggrin:
I started reading it a few times, but lost interest about 50/75 pages into it. It's the only SK book I just couldn't get into. Hopefully one day I'll be able to read it.
A couple weeks ago, I purchased the following: Mr. Mercedes, Revival, plus 2 Joe Hill books and a JA Jance book. I also bought Silver Bullet and The Dead one on DVD. I finished Mr. Mercedes yesterday, and I LOVED it!
