Grade 5, had skipped school that day ~ yep, even in grade 5. ;) Was watching "Matinee", which was why I skipped school - loved movies even then, and it was preempted for this horrifying news. :(

I was disappointed, as well. The letter to the Constant Readers is the first place I go when reading a new SK book. Just saying!

~ I really don't like it when an exact location isn't given in a book. I guess I'm 'old school' and really love the ones that take place in Maine. No, I'm not from Maine ~ not even an American. ;) But, I'm ok with the location being 'any place' ~ as long as it's 'some place'. Just my opinion...
