    DT my favorite

My favorite non Kentucky basketball thing is The Dark Tower. Easily my favorite set of books as well. The fourth one being better than the rest by my eye.

    Favourite Non Ka-Tet Characters

Sheemie for me. But I also loved the Jonas character. I loved everything about the dark tower really.

Well, this is unexpected, but I can dig it!

Bite your tongue! I don't know I think Clint could pull it off. Huge bias here though as I'm a big Eastwood fanboy.

    King's darkest, scariest work yet

It wasn't the ending I was expecting. I actually think it could have been much scarier with something more... Conventional. But I liked the ending at the same time because, they're ants and that makes us all smaller than ants in the grand spectrum of things. Really beautiful in a way. Also...

Well, this is unexpected, but I can dig it!

I just want the movie to be close to the books. What really would've worked best is if Clint Eastwood wasnt a million years old now and he could be the gunslinger ...

    Working On It

I could not imagine that! I would have been pissed at the end of book three had I been a constant reader then. The suspense would have killed me. I wonder how SK must have felt though? Was it one of his first thoughts once he got healthy? If I were in his shoes, I can say that it would have...

    Working On It

The books are just capturing. I literally thought about those books before I went to sleep, as I worked, and while I ate. I worried that I might die and not know the end if I did not hurry. I started reading IT but maybe I will revisit the Tower after that; I miss the gang.

    Really liked this book

Dora is a great show IMO too. PBS is like Sesamee Street etc. It is intended to be educational, but most of Nick Jr and such also aims to be educational.

    Working On It

You are missing out on the greatest set of books ever. Try reading the Gunslinger and then read The Drawing of the Three, then go back and maybe re-read the Gunslinger and it may make more sense? I loved the DT from the first line of the first book. I would dream about those books, think...

    Really liked this book

I also really like to let him watch PBS things because it is not trash. And he loves Elmo and all the gang on Sesamee Street. So I am trying to buy more things that are geared towards education. But he also loves to watch basketball with me, he will sometimes sit through an entire game.

My First Time: Reading My First Stephen King Novel: Lisey's Story

Was also one of my first SK novels. I got lost into it, and I could read it 100 times. I wish my wife would read it, this book is perfect for married people.

    Finally read it ...

Welcome! Never too late. I just read the Shining back in the summer and then Dr. Sleep in the fall. The story is so flawless. The Shining is not only the best SK book I have read, but probably the best book I have ever read(withholding the entire Dark Tower Series). The way SK describes...

    Still The Scariest

My son is two, and every time we go outside, I never let him get remotely close to the road, and it never fails that this book pops in my mind when we are outside playing. This book seriously got to me, maybe because my son was entering the Toddler age when I read it last year, and combine that...

    Really liked this book

I have done some reading to him, and he loves it. He really loves TV though. But I read him Noah's Ark regularly as well as the Grinch - - he is crazy about the Grinch. I really want him to like reading though, so I am trying to get him involved in some stories.

    Blockade Billy for a buck!

God, what a deal. Those were hardback?? Blockade Billy was an awesome read, I actually finished it wishing that the story could have went on. Baseball is basically dead to me now, but part of me, deep inside will love the game till I die.

    Waiting Patiently For This One...

Nope, just really country haha. Growing up in a really religious home in Eastern KY gave me a real interest in religion in general(various connotations others have with religion and religious groups), and this book right in my neck of the woods.

So, This Book is going to become a movie?

I didn't know if there were any other film nuts on here. I love movies, and I'm really interested in seeing just how this one comes out. But I just happened to see this on the unofficial news, and thought it was interesting that it was even being considered as a possible film. Really tough...

    What Are You Reading?

I think IT will be my next read then, but Salem's Lot after. I'm still newish to SK books. Started reading them almost 2 yrs ago when I broke my leg. I have really become a fan though.

    Has This Happened To You?

I haven't read anything but SK novels for the last year. Nobody hooks me like him. So yes, I have the same problem, and my solution is to just keep reading them. I loved classics in high school, but I've moved on since then. Maybe I'll get back into them after I read every SK work out there?

    What Are You Reading?

I have burned through this one. Really enjoying it, but not sure where to go next. I may read Salem's Lot; I may read IT. I chose The Dead Zone over Salem's Lot on a sort of... IDK feeling, maybe the kind of feeling you get when you're at a carnival and see a wheel of... ;) I just wish I had...
