    New book news! (Finally)

According to Lilja's Library, SK said during an appearance in Iowa that he had written the first draft of a new book and it was scaring him to death. Apparently it's separate from SLEEPING BEAUTIES, the book he's working on with Owen. Can any of the mods shed some light on this?

    Joe Hill

I'm on page 106 of The Fireman and I love it already. I love how Joe inherited his dad's ability to tell a big epic story with well-drawn characters, but his style is all his own.

Sai King Tweets "Last Time Around"

Well, think of it this way. If all of SK's works exist on various levels of the Tower, wouldn't it stand to reason that their adaptations will too? Especially the ones SK is personally involved with? So by that rationale, the film version of Roland and his journey will differ from the book...

    Casting News Crazy

The Dark Tower casts Vikings star Katheryn Winnick | EW.com I wish they wouldn't announce casting and then leave the parts unidentified. There are so many doubts among the fans about this project, you'd think the producers wouldn't be quite so sketchy about providing that information.

More casting for DARK TOWER movie

The Dark Tower: Jackie Earle Haley in talks to join Stephen King movie | EW.com Can't argue with this casting, except I'm still not sure what the film's chronology will be. Hoping for Eddie and Susannah news any day now.

Episode 8: "The Day in Question"

Yeah, I noticed that it just said "CAPTAIN", but not "TRIPS." I felt just the tiniest bit incomplete inside.

Episode 8: "The Day in Question"

“We did not ask for this room or this music; we were invited in. Therefore, because the dark surrounds us, Let us turn our faces toward the light. Let us endure hardship to be grateful for plenty. We have been given pain to be astounded by joy. We have been given life to deny death. We did...

Episode 8: "The Day in Question"

Bit of trivia for those interested: The poem Sadie reads was actually written by SK at the request of Bridget Carpenter, the showrunner. I tried to Google it to find out where it came from and ended up Tweeting her.

Episode 8: "The Day in Question"

So here we are, at the end, and it hit all the right notes for me. I can't imagine anyone would take issue with this episode, seeing as how it's the closest we've had so far to what was in the book. I was wondering if they would stay faithful to the ending of the novel, and I'm torn; I liked...

That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping he was announcing a new work of his.

Some new information about the movie. . .

Abbey Lee is NOT the female lead of The Dark Tower and other Mid-World updates! Some of this is still going to piss people off, but there's at least one clarification which will make people feel better.

Any Chance of a Dr. Sleep Movie?

Akiva Goldsman takes on the King once again with the SHINING sequel, DOCTOR SLEEP! I don't know how this is going to work. It's so different from The Shining.

    Episode 7 - Soldier Boy

I enjoyed most of this episode, even though it was table-setting for next week's finale. Bill's exit was sad, but obviously not as sad as the writers were hoping, since last week's episode made him so awful. It was odd to see Sadie so affected by his death, seeing as how I don't think they'd had...

Episode 6 - Happy Birthday LHO

I realized when I watched "Soldier Boy" that I never got around to weighing in on last week's episode. The major takeaway from last week was that George became completely unbearable. I kind of figured this was where things were going, but the party scene still infuriated me. On the one hand, I...
