Wow! You were on the cutting edge of technology, then. I don't think my family had one until 1991. And even then, I didn't make the full switch from cassette tapes to CDs for quite a few more years after that. :biggrin-new:

SwiftDogs are early adopters :)

Seriously though, 1987 is when CD players became affordable. I begged and pleaded and harassed my parents for one for Christmas. Santa was good to ole' SwiftDog that year!

I think 1987 was the year Fox went prime-time to compete with ABC, CBS and NBC with shows like Werewolf and Married... with Children, along with some others I can’t remember.
And we all had great laughs about this back then thinking that there was no way that Fox was going to become a powerhouse up against those older established networks. Look at them now......:Oo:

I think you're right. I wonder when The Simpsons first aired. I believe they came along in 1989, following the success of the animated segments on The Tracy Ullman Show. That was another huge hit for Fox.
