1987 (Look Who's Turning Thirty)

1987

What an incredible year.

It was the year I turned 16, and got my beginner's license after my birthday. Some of the biggest media in my life were released that year.

Three of my fave albums - Whitesnake, Appetite for Destruction, and my all-time fave album, Hysteria.
The Summer of King. Anyone remember when IT, Misery, Tommyknockers, and Eyes of the Dragon were ALL in the top 10 best seller list - at the same time?
Movies - Predator, Robocop, Full Metal Jacket, etc.

I think 1988 ranks as more of a fave, but 1987 was damn close.

I remember being La Bamba crazy, but I didn't see Dirty Dancing until later.
Pretty sure summer of 87 was the return of pedal pushers for girls.
