been reading king for roughly 3 years now. currently on book 36. and I thought to myself wow im chugging along here and maybe a little too fast. I remember when I first starting posting here. a lot of you said how lucky I was. some had envy. to have this huge chunk of works ahead of and how they wish they could pick up IT for the `st time and meet those guys for the first time again. to crack open the gunslinger for the first time and read the most awesome opening line in any book ever in my opinion. ive been reading my whole life and for whatever reason didn't pick up king till 38. getting a little nostalgia here. I really do feel like you guys are my friends. and even though I will probally never meet king I feel like I know him' just such a down to earth dude; so I decided to take a break and slow down and do a my first ever king re read. wow, which one and I figured why not re read the book that started it all for me' my first ever book I read of his/ and if it wasn't for this topic I can say with the upmost surety that today I would be sitting here still never reading a single king book' im a kennedy nut and that's what drew me to the book/ even though it was fiction I figured what the heck; and after that book the worm definetly turned for me man. with the release on hule it just seems just too perfect. pretty much half way thru his body of work. started with 11/22/63 and now the release this week/ so its late and today I was at target and I saw the mass paperback of 11/22/63. they were calling it a tallback which I never heard before. looked pretty cool and this way I save my hard cover a second read. so im pretty tired but im going to read just about 20 pagers or so and just enjoy the ride because this was really a terrific book. just superb writing. is it better than the stand I will say no and yes; its not well because im mean its the stand. but his writing in this book I think is not just a little but a lot better than when he wrote the stand what some 35 years ago. I know some of you are screaming blasphemer. but seriously read 50 pages of the stand. any 50 and then read 50 or 11/22/63. the stand will probally seemed quite remedial to you when you compare them side by side like that.

so anyway I would like to thank you mr king for the fun you have brought to me and I would like to thank this forum. by far the best forum I have been on. I have never been on a single forum except for this one where there are cheap shots taken to anyone at anytime just for the reason of disagreement. here people respect each other opinions even if there in disagreement. so there it is.

by the way are you guys still jealous or if after 36 books em I one of you now or still a newbie
