I don't remember this story at all. I have to read it again.

Morgan... Because everyone needs someone to understand. He is all yours.
Buck up, Lil Cowgirl! :)

Alrighty. My list thus far:

2014 SKMB HORRORFEST!

1) Legend of Hell House
2) The House that Dripped Blood
3) Torture Garden--1967 Amicus anthology
4) Dementia 13-definitely the grandaddy of the modern slasher film
5) Smiley-urban legend-type horror film.
6) Dracula-the Lugosi original.
7) John Carpenter's Vampires-Wow. So bad.
8) Fright Night-1985 original. Can't say enough good about this one
9) Nightmare on Elm Street--the original

10) Vault of Horror-1972 British horror anthology. Every bit as good as Dana Jean noted!
11) Tales From the Crypt-1971 British horror anthology.
12) Gallery of Horror-1967 anthology. Bad, bad, bad…but hilariously so
13) You're Next-- a standard home invasion movie
14) Dead Within--This was a nifty little contagion movie!
15) Return of Dracula (1958)-It's really atmospheric and creepy--a neat little vampire story.
16) Night of the Living Dead (the original)
17) Nosferatu-original. Max Schreck was very creepy, and definitely the best part of this movie.
18) Freaks-I think it qualifies because it freaked people out so very much when it was originally released
19) Shadow of the Vampire- I didn't love it, but the leads were very good.
20) Dead of Night (1954)-I quite enjoyed it
21) Mark of the Vampire-Tod Browning's 1935 remake of his London After Midnight. Pretty good movie!
22) Masters of Horror-episodes 1-4. Horror anthology series that ROCKS!
23) The Wasp Woman-I liked it when I was a kid; still fun
24) Carrie (2013) Eh. It was okay-watchable, once.

15. The Old Dark House 1963
Fun movie about a car salesman who ends up at a family estate in the middle of a whodunit. All kinds of eccentric, kooky characters. I liked it.

16. Warning Sign 1985
About an accident at a biotech plant. Even though it was a genetically engineered virus that was the culprit, was a little too close to current events for me to really enjoy. It did have Jeffrey DeMunn in it, (Dale from Walking Dead), 30 years younger!

17. Big Driver
This story was tough to read and was tough to watch. Maria Bello did a really great job, I thought.

You've found some of the most interesting old movies! Inspirational! :)
Thanks, skimom! My son and I are watching these movies together and he's picking out every one we watch. He has Asperger's Syndrome and is TOTALLY OBSESSED with every aspect of the film industry. For example, he can cite from memory the exact amount of money (right down to the penny) every number one movie has grossed since May, 1981. Every time we are considering watching a movie we ask him what it ranks on IMdB and how it scores at Rotten Tomatoes and he tells us right off the top of his head. Yes, we have our own little Roger Ebert. :smile2:
