I finished Needful Things. I really enjoyed reading it again. It took me a while, though. My dog has been waking me up at 3am every night and I'm not getting enough sleep. So, when I read at night, I start dozing off sooner than I'd like. I'm undecided about my next SK book. I've got another book or two I'm going to read before my next SK but I'm thinking about reading Tommyknockers, 11-22-63 or Rose Madder.

For Discussion Group, I'm reading The Sun Dog in Four Past Midnight (which takes place in Castle Rock). I really want to reread Needful Things now and may need to bump it up the list!

I just finished reading The Dead Zone. I found it interesting to realize how much I thought I remembered about the story actually came from the movie. I really liked the movie and unfortunately I kept feeling like some parts were missing from the book. Does that make any sense?
I did enjoy the re read though so no worries. :biggrin2:

Next up is Roadwork. I remember that I didn't like it much the first time. So we'll see how it goes this time...

I must be the Worlds slowest reader .I only read Stephen King books and have read s few over the years BUT it takes me forever to read them.
I am currently reading 6/22/63 .I have been reading it for about 3 months and am just past halfway and I read it most days!
You people read about 10 books in the time I haven't read one .
Oh well
Wait till you get to 11/22/63!

Read Mile 81 on my vacation. Had it on my ipad. Good read. But i was not used to reading in that way so it took time. I now read The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne on my Ipad (a much fuller translation from the french than my swedish one. I shudder to think what they done other books, my swedish is not bad translated but it was shortened, don't like that) This time it went much quicker. I might get used to it as a sidekick to ordinary books.

I was reading about E-readers on Reader's Digest just recently. They recommend not using one of these for at least two hours before going to bed. I guess the light from them interferes with your brain waves and makes it harder to get a good nights sleep!
Glad to see you back on the board Kurben :biggrin2::haha::reading:

Thanks Neese!! Two hours before..... Hmmm, that might be difficult, i mean, then whats the point (except on travels and so). I most often read before bed (or rather turning out the light, i'm usually in bed reading long before that)

All I meant was just to read a regular old fashioned kind of book - the kind made out of paper!

Great to see you back here again - it sounds like your trip went very well and was a lot of fun.

Well - maybe compromise then - just read on your electronic device for a while and then switch to a so called 'normal' type of book for about an hour once you are ready to 'hit the hay'

I'm reading Firestarter now, for only the second time I guess. When I pulled my paperback book off the shelf it looked brand new! The spine wasn't bent or cracked or anything. I must have only read it when it first came out and never opened it again. I am enjoying it though. But I think in my mind Charlie will always look like Drew Barrymore.
