#11) Gerald's Game: This has been pretty well-covered here, so not much to add that hasn't already been said. Good casting and I was surprised by the rather faithful adaptation of a novel that doesn't seem rather cinematic. I did spend several moments of the film devising an alternative escape that I think might've worked. Well done for what it was - 7/10

Man, I'm so behind. Better get some serious horror in this weekend.

31. Creepshow

"An anthology which tells five terrifying tales based on the E.C. horror comic books of the 1950s."

We all know this one. One of my favorites.

20. Inbred (2011) (FTV)
Group of juvenile delinquents does community service detail in a remote small town in England, but soon find themselves fighting for their lives. Not really sure which of these people I was supposed to root for, which seems to be a problem that plagues many horror movies. Is it that hard to write a sympathetic character? Anyway, Inbred takes some time to find its footing, starting out taking itself fairly seriously and setting a creepy atmosphere, but it doesn't really find its way until the latter half, when things really pick up steam. This is part "1000 Maniacs", part "The Hills Have Eyes" and part "Deliverance", but the gonzo violence and strange humor is what ends up working best for it. Stick with the first half because the second half pays off pretty well for fans of cruel game-like torture gore.

3.5 out of 5 stars.

The best blind villain i can remember. I'll give this one 4/5

Loved the blind guy (I liked him in the short lived series called Terra Nova, too), thought the movie was a mess. Good thing we're all different, right? :)

40.) Blair Witch (2016)

I wasn't expecting too much from this sequel and that's a good thing. If you can wrap your brain around a girl with a gouged foot and torn up leg (all infected of course) who can barely walk, climbing up the tallest tree in the woods to try to free a drone caught in the branches - this is the movie for you! And if you are totally into watching a jiggly camera and people just screaming out the same names over and over, this might be right up your alley as well. ;;D ;-D

absolutely! Might be that i had seen a bad one before it ..... I seem to remember a movie with, i think Audrey Hepburn, playing a blind girl who gets unwelcomed visitors. Great movie. Yes, Wait Until Dark was its name. from the end of the 60,s. This is obviously partially inspired by that classic.

28. The Dark Tower (2017) FTV Jake is good! Otherwise i'm not a big fan of this movie. This is perhaps more SF/fantasy than horror but i'm gonna count it anyway. Well made but to cram 8 books into one movie is not working. 3/5 because it is well made but not a movie i'll return to.

I love this one and it was on AMC. A teen guy has a vampire neighbor with an exhibition fetish. Well, he lets the kid see too much anyway. Kid can't convince anyone and oblivious infatuated mom INVITES the vamp in. Kid goes to see a failed horror host played by Roddy McDowall who goes along with the gag for five hundred bucks and finds out it's true. I love all the performances in this one. The crazy friend is a hoot too. If you haven't seen this one then don't let the other later one dissuade you. This one is good. It is also the best horror poster in my estimation though I still haven't managed to snag one.

42.) The Skeleton Key (2005)

Re-watch. Haven't seen this one in many years, so I forgot the ending (yay me again! :) ). It's a creepy and suspenseful movie IMHO. Gena Rowlands is sensational. I love her!

This movie is soooooooo good. I planned to watch it again later. It is one hell of a story leading you in like a mouse to cheese. Kate Hudson is good in it too. Hell everybody is. Also it super creeps me because of some voodoo crap that happened to me as a teen. But even without that it was way way underrated. This one has such a wicked STORY which is what really makes it.

OOPS. Fright Night was on the horror channel not AMC. There is so little good stuff on there that I forgot what channel it was.

One of my all time favorite movies! Everything about it is perfect (and I STILL can't look at Lipless--the vamp in the poster picture. I peek at her from between my fingers. I've been doing that since the summer of 1985 :D )

Under your bed
993. I Loved A Ghoul (1932). Dwight Frye burns down the screen as Gene the ghoul, an opium-addled graverobber who steals gold teeth and jewels from the corpses he exhumes (and eventually consumes). The kick is, see, Gene despises what he is, and seeks a better way. Enter flapper cutie-pie Connie Bennett as a pre-code ‘whore with the heart of gold’ bent on rescuing our ghoul from his twisted existence - if, that is, her pimp Peter Lorre doesn’t kill them first. James Whale directs a tale as depressing as it is horrific, lighting his doomed characters from below like a grinning Mephistopheles. Watch over Lorre’s shoulder during the carriage scene to catch a glimpse of Roscoe ‘The Torso-Strangler’ Lubbock in the background.

32. Comforting Skin -- New

"A lonely young woman's desperate need for emotional and sexual companionship draws her into a surreal and ultimately destructive relationship with a shifting and whispering tattoo she has willed to life on her skin."

Good god, this was bad. If you want to see a film where the lead woman is naked probably 50% of the movie and she has sex with her tattoo, this is the story. She also takes a bath with pop rocks.

I almost shut this one down, but thought, nope, I'm going to soldier on and take one for the team. And it hurt guys. Just so you know, that tattoo in the picture below never appears in the movie. This one was a bait and switch sort of thing. They lead you to believe it's horror, and it's just weird psychological misfits interacting with each other.

Dysfunctional with a capital Suck.

43.) 1922 (2017)

Due to an unfortunate series of events, I was able to watch this earlier than anticipated - lemons into lemonade I guess. It was good. A slow roll, kind of like Gerald's Game (which I liked a bit more). I really like Thomas Jane. There were parts where he was outstanding, and others that seemed a bit contrived. Overall, great job. Took me a minute to place his wife (Molly Parker). She was in House of Cards. Supporting cast was very good. Noticed the IMDb score went down from 7.1 to 6.9. (Don't know why I'm so enthralled by their rating system lately.)
