26) Maleficent (2014) – I love this movie! It was on Freeform last night, so DD and I watched it. I cry at true love’s kiss – Every. Single. Time. 4.5/5

27) Halloween (1978) – This is the one that all others are judged by. That music! “It was the boogeyman!” – 5/5

28) Halloween Wars: Season 7 Ep 1-5 - (2017) I’m counting this, because it’s become an annual tradition for my daughter and I – there are 6 teams competing for $50,000 for making the best spooky displays. Each team consists of a pumpkin carver, a cake artist and a sugar artist and must incorporate each of these elements. This year’s results were better that most. 3.5/5

31. Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015)
Kinda sad to be ending my marathon with a kids movie but had Miss Sage overnight, so it was that or nothing! ;-D
Not quite as cute as the first one, but pretty darn close.

Have a few old ones set to record tonight, but doubt I'll get to watch any of them before midnight with trick or treating and everything. Will post my final list tomorrow! :applause:

31. The Final Girls (FTV)
Young woman gets literally pulled into a slasher film and gets reunited with her dead movie star mother. Sounds like a hokey premise, and this is a horror comedy, but surprisingly it has a lot of heart. Cleverly written and deftly directed, I liked the funny cast and the poking fun at various horror movie tropes while embracing them. In a way this is also a time-travel movie, since the characters in the movie (within the movie) live in the world of an 80's slasher, so some fun and interesting ideas are explored. This avoids some of the cloying winking at the audience that started creeping into the "Scream" sequels, and it's thoroughly enjoyable, although not particularly scary. Fans of slashers and horror in general will love it.

4 out of 5 stars.

9. Messages Deleted (2010) was on TV today - more of a mystery than a horror but there were some gory parts.
10. Pay the Ghost (2015) with Nicolas Cage - a professor frantically searches for his son who was abducted during a Hallowe'en parade.

31) Mindhunter ep 9/10-WHEW! I'm more than a little convinced that the younger FBI agent is one thin sliver from being one of the serial killers he studies *shudder* FTV

I made the 31 (though I did fudge a bit by counting TV shows)! There will definitely be at least one more tomorrow (Halloween, duh :D ), and maybe one or two more. THanks again, fushingfeef , for hosting this year after year.
32) Hocus Pocus-My daughter's choice. She loves it, I thought it was okay. FTV
33) Halloween (1978)--adding this now, thought I haven't watched it yet. I know I will, because Halloween does not end until Michael disappears from the ground below the window :)

Happy Halloween, everyone

Here is my final entry

28. Bates Motel (episode 1 & 2)

I got my five season blu-ray set a few weeks ago and decided to watch a little of it tonight. I have resisted watching any of the old episodes until the complete season came out on blu-ray. It was interesting watching these first couple of episodes again. There was a little mother-son murder bonding established in that first episode.
As I slowly make my way through the blu-ray set, I'm going to keep a body count on Norman (and Norma - she has a couple too). I'll report my findings in the Bates Motel thread as I go along.

28. Nipples Of Death 3

Not what I expected at all. I really didn't expect this to take place in a hardware store. The brass nipples in aisle 3 come to life and go on a rampage.

Rated R for male and female threads

Finishing up with...
31. American Werewolf in London.

This is my favorite werewolf movie. Also somewhat sentimental as I was in London when it was made. I know because the adverts on Piccadilly Circus are the same as in my photos and they change them often. I didn't get to see it as it was made unfortunately but it does stir memories. It has horror and humor and a naked Jenny Agutter. Just a perfect movie.

Happy Halloween everyone!

41. Dementia 13

"A scheming widow hatches a daring plan to get her hands on her late husband's inheritance, unbeknownst to her that she is targeted by an axe-wielding murderer who lurks within the family's estate."

Last one for me. Creepy rich family, very dysfunctional due to drowning death of only daughter. Everyone wanting the matriarch's money. Good black and white creeper.

70.) Knock Knock (2015)

Oh my. Thinking of something good to say about this movie. To the young people - there is no such thing as casual sex. Public service announcement finished. Over and out.

Only 30 minutes left before midnight. Not enough time for another movie. It was great fun, my friends. I'll compile my entire list in order tomorrow. As Kurben already stated, thanks so much fushingfeef for hosting such a great getaway. And I appreciate all the participants, reviews and recommendations. :love_heart:

#30 - The Other Side of the Door - An agoraphobic guy is losing his house and will have to go outside and a bunch of busybodies impose themselves on his life. Oh, and some creepy stuff too...kinda. This was yet another disappointment with what could have been a cool story but instead became a confusing, disjointed mess.

#31 - Intruder - I'll be honest. I only chose this because it was short, free, was the first movie in the Netflix horror queue that I hadn't watched yet, and I was running out of time to successfully complete this challenge. It's still playing now and is so far completely terrible but I'm committed to getting 31 in before midnight so I'm stuck with it.

I'm still going to watch Spring another night. :)
