Summary of SK pics so far. :D

There are no individual spoiler tags inside. I think the most spoilery pic I have in there is from "Lisey's Story". Other than that, not many story surprises should be ruined by these drawings (I think/hope). Of course, if you have read all of these stories already, then you have nothing to fear.

Includes:
- Graveyard Shift.
- Carrie.
- 'Salem's Lot.
- Pet Sematary.
- It.
- The Stand.
- The Green Mile.
- Lisey's Story.
- Duma Key.
- 1922.
- Doctor Sleep.

Yes, I see the braid in Nadine's hair. Having seen the movie...the one with that actress many seem to hate, an allowable hate t'would seem...or any of the movies I saw before reading the story, I'm left with that movie's vision of what a character looks like. Was Joe even in the movie version? With his character, I placed that character from Deliverance, the one lying on the back of that big boat of a car, the one who played dueling banjos with that actor whose name I forget. Enjoyed the artwork. Thank you for sharing! :) Looking forward to some more.

Is there an English translation of the play? I've admired the comedic tone in all of the Latin American or Spanish writers I've read, so many of them seem to share that same level of understatement though I can't for the life of me think of any specific examples...other than to say they can take something so violent or something so magical and use words that make it common-place, understated. Perhaps it is all that warm blood and loving nature? I'm curious about the play...saw there is some You-Tube stuff available and though I've had one semester of Spanish I'm unlikely to be able to follow it...save for the tone and actions of the players.

New pic from "The Stand". It features Trashcan Man and The Kid.

There are story spoilers for people who have not read the chapter with The Kid.

The Kid is about to do something horrible to Trashy.

I liked Donald very much when I read the novel, so I disliked anything that others did to hurt him (although I like The Kid as a character, and he did get what he deserved, in the end).

I was sad when I saw Trashy was not emotionally developed, even as an 18 year old or older, and how much he needed to feel loved (or, at least, not attacked), and tried to get that feeling from people who were, in fact, attacking him when he was in jail. :mad-new:

While this pic is way before anything actually happens (Donald is just waking up), it is inside spoiler tags because of a shirtless, drunk Kid and because of what comes next, also because this could still be an actual spoiler to someone out there.

I love all your illustrations :) but the one that stands out for me is your illustration of Patrick Hockstetter. You've captured the inner evil in his expression - made all the more impressive because the first time I looked at the illustration, I merely saw a kid - on second look, his evil reached out and scared me lol.

Thank you.

Yes, he is not as fast as Mike, or as strong as Henry, or even as fat as Ben. He is just an average kid on the outside.

But he is the one who even managed to freak Henry out, and that is something. If he had had the chance to grow up, he would have been even worse, when he learned to actively hide his evil (back then, his classmates and teachers could see he was not well).

I still need to read the book that has an adult Patrick (assuming it is a version of this Patrick but from another level, who managed to grow up).

Hmmmmm... Patrick Hockstetter as an adult... that could be interesting :)

If, as Hockstetter aged, his appearance became as inhuman as his mind, he could become quite terrifying. He might even look like one of Doctor Moreau's expiraments. That would serve him right :)

I don't remember The Kid in The Stand :( You're too young to know who Sal Mineo was but your drawing of The Kid looks a bit like him.

Yeah, which book has the adult Patrick? I am sure I have read which one it was in some thread somewhere, but I don't remember which book it was.

These are the books I have read:
Carrie
Night Shift (currently reading "Battleground")
'Salem's Lot
Pet Sematary
It
The Stand
The Green Mile
Cell
Lisey's Story
Duma Key
Just After Sunset
Under the Dome
Full Dark, No Stars
Doctor Sleep

I also have "The Shining", "Blaze", "Wind Through the Keyhole", "The Talisman", "Mr. Mercedes".

The last three ones I want to wait until I have the other books in their respective series.

Which book is Leland Gaunt from, Tery?

There is a character in Firestarter named Patrick Hockstetter. No connection that I can see. Leland Guant is from Needful Things.

I did not know that boy you mentioned, but Google just let me see he was indeed cute. :D

I based my pic in Gabriel Damon, as he was in "Newsies". Not an exact likeness (mainly because of my skill limitations), but that is how I see him in my mind.
