I'm pretty sure I like "Constant Reader" better than "Newbie" (both labels are accurate in context) but feel free to call me "Nanci" -- the moniker most people utilize to address me. I have a question about "The Crossroads - Part 1", which was recently downloaded to my Kindle. Was it just the version I received, or, does every e-book version of this release contain numerous grammar and punctuation errors? I'm used to seeing a few errors in every ebook I've downloaded (for some reason, the editors just don't seem to pay attention to ebook errors), but this was, by far, the worst release I've ever seen. There were commas where there should have been periods (in more than 10 instances), misplaced possessives and then no possessives where necessary, spelling errors (like "council" instead of "counsel"), and more. It was so bad it became distracting, so I couldn't really appreciate the flavor of the stories. I know that "it's the story, and not he who tells it" that matters, but I began wondering if the editor had made it past the 3rd grade.

Welcome to the Board, Nanci! I'll be getting in touch with Kindle as this is not Stephen's work. It may be by someone named Stephen King but they need to make it clear that it is not this Stephen King--unless he's been moonlighting again and forgot to mention it to me. =D

Thank you! You have no idea how happy I am to hear that -- I was close to having a panic attack, thinking Mr. King had lost his touch. Now I'm angry at myself for not checking before buying, and at Amazon for fooling me.
We'll make sure they at least remove the links that take you to the listings of Steve's other books. I don't know how far beyond that they will go if the person really is named Stephen King but some sort of disclaimer should be put there as it is very misleading.

I wish "false advertising" laws could be used, if there are such things anymore.
