Dear Fellow Authors,

How do you take a favorable review by respected authors for your book on Amazon and use it to attract new people [e.g. strangers] to it?

For example, this is a review of my book, A Coup' of Sorts, written by Brad & Sherry Steiger, authors of Conspiracies and Secret Societies-The Complete Dossier:

The brevity of the novella as a literary expression in many ways makes it more difficult to achieve the goals of pacing, character development, and suspense than the greater length of the novel. Kudos to Howard Rosenzweig for so adroitly achieving a unique blend of political thriller with strong elements of supernatural horror. This skillful mix of genres creates delighful dividends for the reader. Brad and Sherry Steiger, authors of Real Encounters, Different Dimensions, and Otherworldly Beings.

A Coup' of Sorts: Howard S. Rosenzweig Ph.D.: 9781477570982: Amazon.com: Books

Thank you all for your time and help!

Sincerely,

Howard Rosenzweig

First, remove the confusion about who actually wrote the book. Was it you or Brad & Sherry Steiger?

The book was written by me, Howard Rosenzweig.
So the review is by Brad and Sherry Steiger. As an editor, I'd change the question you posited this way:

For example, this is a review written by Brad & Sherry Steiger, authors of Conspiracies and Secret Societies-The Complete Dossier, of my book, A Coup' of Sorts.

I'm honestly not trying to be snarky about that and offer it as constructive criticism. I was confused when reading the question the first time through about who was the author of the book.

When publishers seek blurbs for books, they send out copies months ahead to other authors they think would enjoy it and give a favorable comment which they then use on the cover and sometimes inside pages as well as any advertising they do for it. I don't know how Amazon works with that but perhaps through your Author page you can feature good reviews.

Thank you for your thoughts and suggestions! Ironically, it seems that the hardest part to becoming a successful artist [besides the considerable time it takes to develop one's own style] is to learn how to successfully promote their work. I guess my question should be what other authors on SKMB do to promote their work [and what sharks in the business one should avoid].
