That was a quick read for you! But yes, I agree. I think it would.

It was a little thin when I brought it over, but still a hit. Be sure to boil it down to the consistency you want.
I might try a thin and a thicker consistency. Gives one the option of the thin going over an entire cake, and the thicker for individual slices. Might use with a pound cake too. Will be baking this weekend!

A new blog post.

My blog is a mixture of reminiscence, punditry, short stories, wistful ponderings, photography, and cooking.

In this one, I finally get back to cooking. Just minor cooking. But cooking nonetheless.

I might try this with frozen cranberries - I was reading in Prevention magazine that they are good for something - Alzheimer's prevention? Not sure - cannot remember :umm:

Cranberries are rich in antioxidants. They have anti-inflammatory properties and are reputed to be good at UTI prevention. And they don't have that many calories. One of the healthier foods you can eat, to my limited understanding.

Well, I checked into the ER for a little while, even though it turned out I didn't need to. I just wasn't 100% sure of it at the time.

So I had to blog it.

The day of the NOT heart attack. NOT. - Grandpa Tells Stories
Wow - that must have been pretty scary!

ummm - are you kidding? 3K?

Guess I won't be immigrating to the US of A anytime soon - I probably wouldn't pass the test anyway!

Just glad to hear it was nothing too serious after all!:love_heart: :okay::m_petals:

(I just played "Hearts in Winnipeg" - chasing that little red heart down as it travelled across my computer screen

I wrote another blog entry a little bit ago (last week) that I'd forgotten about.

It's about my old friend, my wife, and my volatile mistress.

Why I Cook (and photograph)(and write) - Grandpa Tells Stories
You have a mistress?

:p

I obviously have not clicked on that link yet!

So guess where we are going tonight? We got invited to a Pow Wow for my son's new girlfriend - it should be interesting as I have never been to one before

:umm:

I'm being interviewed on radio tonight!

Okay, so it's not quite like Stephen King chatting with Terry Gross (which was a great interview, by the way). It's a local public radio station that hosts a series called "Between the Pages" featuring local writers. Tonight, they're interviewing local author Amy Mihaly and me.

How did I achieve the prominence to draw this level of attention, you may ask? Well, the host of the show put out a call on a Colorado Writers/Publishers Facebook group that I'm in, and I answered, and they accepted.

I can never quite get the linking protocol here - it's my brain deficiency, not a problem with the site rules - so I'll play it safe and not link. But it will be tonight on KRFC, 88.9, Fort Collins, Colorado, at 6:00 p.m. local time. They have a website, and I believe may even have a "listen" button if anyone's so inclined.

I'm kinda excited. Maybe there is a listenership of eight people total, but to me, this is a Big Deal.

Congratulations. So, I guess this means you and yours are good. (See God Bomb thread.)
