just finished the dark tower! WOULD LOVE SOME INPUT

SPOILER ALERT

So this is my theory and I hope some of you take comfort in it. I finished the last one 10 min ago so I'm having that typical euphoric feeling now #shivers#

The whole point of the dark tower is to teach Roland to GIVE UP the search for the dark tower. I think King still stands with what he said in the previous chapter about how he hates finite endings, and Roland should give up on these finite endings as well. From this view, the horn of end will represent progress because it represents something sentimental. Roland, being the opposite of sentimental, is slowly changing. Slowly he is starting to make decisions that show that he starts to value life/the journey more than his goal. Maybe this time he won't let Jake drop to his death. Maybe this time he will rather save those that were lost in sacrifice for his quest. Once he gives up on his relentless dream to find the tower, he will learn to love again and be truly redeemed.
Welcome - I agree with what kingricefan says above (on the first page of this thread) - he has put it into words very well.
