A Modest Proposal

I'm still exploring around here, but I've read the threads about the stuff that's been "lost" from the old board. I joined after John D passed, but was moved by the writings of his friends and went on to read and enjoy much that he wrote himself. I'm sure there are other members who have/will pass on to the clearing at the end of the path and we will want to remember them. Would it be possible to create such a place on this board? A place for bios, maybe, writings both by the person and friends, something like that? I think it's sad that new members here won't get the same feel for John D that I got and I'm sure there are others who need both to remember and be remember.

Their accounts still exist, but we're not moving more content over from the old board. If you'd like to create a thread, feel free. I think there is already one for John.

I don't mean to sound cold, but sometimes, I think it's best to cherish our memories, and move on.
....and before someone jumps on me, you should know that I loved JD as much as anyone. He and I spoke almost daily for 3 years.
JD would have been the first to embrace the new message board. Many members have saved his writings as text documents, and I'm sure
some may be willing to share them.

And like Jordan said.....there's nothing wrong with starting a new thread in memory of a friend. ♥
