and before her-- there was her parents.(Wollensteincraft's)
they were proto feminists in the 1820s and earlier.

Byron had a daughter who grew yp to be the FIRST COMPUTER PROGRAMMER

This is a really interesting thread. And I agree that it's awesome Mr. King answered you! I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for yellow things as I read, now.

What I really appreciate about sK and what I'm sure many do is how down to Earth he seems.
Agreed! What I find so remarkable is that he always quick to praise other authors' work, past and present. Obviously he is gracious and humble.

I think it is not so surprising an obviously intelligent and creative writer who is drawn to the power of words would admire other writers' work.
Writers... fiction, nonfiction, journalists... are important to humanity on so many fundamental levels.
Having said this, I agree that King is gracious and humble about his innate talent and nurtured skill. He seems to have stumbled upon his calling and answered. Lucky for us. :)

It really wasn't anything terrible, but he did use the name of a fellow employee so didn't think that should go public. Here's the redacted version that I left out before:

I told (name redacted) one time that if he ever repainted one of my cars yellow, I’d have to fire him.
I've learned a new word - 'redacted' - who says this site is not educational, eh?
