Mr. King,

As a military retiree I would like to sincerely thank you for your books throughout the years. I first discovered Carrie in the base exchange at RAF Chicksands in the early 1980s. Since this was my first overseas tour and a long way from friends and family, your book gave me a way to escape the loneliness.

As with many your fans I have been one of your constant readers throughout my military career. I could always look forward to finding one of your books in the base exchange to brighten up my days.

You cannot image how much your books have been a source of pleasure and joy during my military tours.

Thank you for supporting this one Air Force member.
Cindy

Nice badge! That is the motto of the Canadian Air Force too!

Per ardua ad astra ("Through adversity to the stars" or "Through struggle to the stars") is the motto of the Royal Air Force and other Commonwealth air forces such as the RAAF, RCAF, RNZAF, the SAAF, as well as the Royal Indian Air Force until 1947.
