Kevin Bacon is set to star as a grizzled, older version of Val with Vincenzo Natali (Cube, Splice) directing. I wonder if they will ignore the sequels and the other TV series (please don't let them ignore Aftershocks, that movie as awesome!)

I messaged Michael Gross about this on his Facebook page and he replied that he isn't a part of the show. So eff this project with a capital F, even though I really like Kevin Bacon. Without Burt Gummer, this show is dead to me.
It sounds like 'The Mist' series, but with no mist and big worms instead of unseen grotesqueries. I don't know how they could maintain that premise as a series in either case. I did see the original Tremors movie and thought it was very well done.
I never thought I would say this but i'm kind of sick of Burt Gummer, they kind of ran his character into the ground with all of the straight to video sequels. I tried to watch Tremors 5 and it just felt like a really cheap rehash of Aftershocks.
To my tastes, Tremors was a great one-off, a B-movie done right, nicely self-contained, and pure unexpected cinematic fun and pleasure. For me, no sequel or series is needed or wanted.
Have to agree here...it was a great one off movie. Like Evolution...no need for anything more
