Jojo- there is no shame in walking away from a job that was not good for you mentally or spiritually. Better this than ending up in the hospital, right? Things are abit rough right now but this will pass. Hang in there! Everything will be fine soon. Keep your chin up!

Very best of luck Jojo with finding something else soon!

I know in Canada if we are unable to work we can collect Employment Insurance (not sure what it is like in Finland).

Even if you quit yourself, instead of being fired? I also don't know about Finland, but in the Netherlands you can't apply for a it in such an occasion, unless you have a very good reason to quit (such as doctor's advice, or when your partner's job requires moving away).

I don't think you can get unemployment compensation here if you quit, either. It is worth looking in to, though. :), in case Finland is different.

Thank you so much my dear dear SKMB friends. What would I do witout you. You are the best.

GNTLGNT - Scott you are too kind. Thank you. But thankful I still get paid next month from the gas station I worked in two
weeks before I quit. And I still thank good for that have saved some money on my credit card, so we maybe get through this until I find a new job. But thank you once again. I know you all just want to help me and I really appreciate it.

Here in Finland we get unemployment money, but if you quit working and don't have any medical certificate why you stop working in that company you don't get paid in three months. So I am in that situation now that I don't get money from
my union until in end of December first. So I really hope I find a new job next month at least.

We still have money to live with and if we live frugally, we still have money next month and maybe beginning of November
maybe.

Then to my partner Juho. He has been a big support for me. In this situation that I am in now he's trying to be positive and tell
me that I find a job soon. I don't know what I would do without him at this moment. He is dear friend and a wonderful
partner. This is not easy for him either, because he know that we live mostly with his salary at this moment. I love him
so much. :love_heart:

Would you have to have the doctor certificate before having quit? It sounds like you had a medical reason to do so with all of the anxiety and stress it was causing--perhaps a doctor would be willing to give you the certificate based on that. Sending you lots of good luck to find another job soon! (((Jojo)))

Yes I would have had. Then my union would have paid me. But now I don't get any money from them in three months. I
should have go to the doctor before I quit. I know I did a big mistake in that case and now I pay for it. :(
But let's hope things change soon to better.
Don't beat yourself up even more about that. You were under a lot of stress and it's hard to think clearly under those conditions. I have faith that something will come up for you before the 3 months is over.

I'm updated this thread again. Sorry you are probably tired to hearing of my job issues all the time. I apologize.

OK, now I maybe might have some good news but I think about it back and forth.

I was on a job interview today here in my hometown. It's a little different kind of job what I've done. But it seemed to interesting so I
thought to give it a try. Yes the interview went well and I still have one interview before they decided of they choose me or not. Oh gosh it's going to be so exciting.

Then I had search for another job too that's far away from where I live now. The job is in our capital Helsinki. And I thought just for fun
to search what might happen. I had no plans to move to our capital and I was sure that they are not even interested in me as a worker.
And what happened. They called me from our capital and wanted me to come on a job interview. I was shocked I couldn't believe what
I heard. So on Monday morning I travel down to South Finland to go on the interview.

Now I've been thinking back and forth. This job interview here in my hometown is not a issue. But what about the one in Helsinki then.
What if they suddenly after the interview come and ask me if I want to start to work for them. That mean a move from a small town to a big city, I don't know how ready I'm for that. And Juho can't come at first he don't have a job there yet and I don't know if he want to
come at all. And then I have my critters. Doggies would move with me and I have to leave my pony, I can't take her with me. She's too old. I am excited about this interview because I would finally get a job if they decide to choose me but at the same time I'm scared. A
big city that I'm not used to and to find a place where I can live. And to live by myself in a town I barely know. I hope I didn't a big mistake now when I searched for this job. I just hope things would solve soon, so I could stop worry about everything and going
on with my life. I just hope our dear father in heaven would show me soon how my life should going with work and family and
everything else.......... I'm tired of thinking about how my life will go right now. Because it's been too stressful so far already.

My friend said something that I really want to believe in right now.

If something is meant to be like this, it happens, that's our destiny.

Maybe it's my destiny to never move to South Finland and I get a job here in my hometown instead. Or then my destiny is to
move down there and work in a big city. Who knows.

Don't stress too much for now. Just do your interviews. Maybe only one of them is a good fit. If both go well, evaluate whether the job in Helsinki pas enough for your to live alone in a city. Whatever happens, take some time to breathe and listen to your heart.

...your hearts will tell you what's right sweetheart...and from a practical standpoint, if both jobs are offered-look at the pay scales, you might be getting less in your home area, but a higher wage in the big city may be basically the same when it comes to the higher cost of living....and I understand leaving your comfort zone and making a move, if that doesn't feel right-as I say, your heart will set you straight....not everything is better in the bright lights...

Good luck Jojo! Just get the interview over with then take some time to think on it. You are under no obligation whatsoever to accept a job even if you're successful in the interview. If you get it and it doesn't feel right, then just politely decline. (explain that you were successful elsewhere)
It's a big step and deserves careful thought and planning.
