David Morse seems to be a go-to guy for King movies. The Langoliers, The Green Mile, Hearts in Atlantis. The first time I read The Stand I pictured him as Stu.
I would say yes, among other things. He has acted in a bunch of movies based on his works (and he had the main role in one segment of Creepshow). I guess the question that needs to be posed to Ms Mod is... Is, or was, Mr King a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA)?
He is. I think you have to be when you do a speaking part in a union movie.

I was not aware of this commercial until I read the intro to Ur in the Bazaar of Bad Dreams about 1/2 hour ago. (I can't recall ever seeing it back when it originally aired.)
And now you mention it here. Eerie.
It's sort of amazing that, for a man with little to no training, King is actually not a terrible actor. I've seen actors with long careers that are worse than him by a mile.
