The iPhone is OK. I have a 5S for personal use and work gave me a 6S for business use.

You may want to wait until the 7 comes out as that will drop the prices on the 6 models.

Do you have a Costco or BJs wholesale club where you live? They often partner with cell providers and you may get a slightly better deal from them.

I'm due for an upgrade myself but will probably hold off until the phone croaks or I break it. I had my iPhone 4 for a long time. I replaced it only after the screen got smashed one day when I dropped it.

...OK Danie, let me see if I can be of any ass-istance....three of the four of us here at the Giant's Den use the iPhone6, my youngest an Android....our Verizon here, when we upgraded a couple of months ago-got us the phones for less than 50 bucks apiece on a two year contract....dicker with them....I used to be in the business, and there's always a "deal" to be made, because they still have quotas to meet....it's kind of akin to buying a car...lowball them and when they balk, head for the door....all of a sudden a livable contract will mysteriously appear....we like our Apples and they have plenty of storage space and the features are fine for what we use them for.....

All of my other devices are Apples so it's easier to have the iPhone as well and I wanted FaceTime. Never been a Windows user so have no experience to compare them to those, nor have I had any desire to switch. I've been a Verizon customer for a long time so was able to get my monthly fee (unlimited data, can't remember the number of minutes for calls--think it was 700--but rarely even come close as I'm texting more than calling) down to $66/month with the fees and taxes. I don't do a lot of watching videos on the phone as I just don't like the experience of trying to do it on a small screen so that may be why I don't run down my battery very quickly and can often go a couple days without having to recharge. Most of my internet usage is a quick look-up for something. I think I had to pay $400 for my iPhone 6s which they stretched out over a few months. Wouldn't have upgraded from the 5 I had but apparently cell phones aren't made to go through a wash cycle. The night before I left AZ last year to return home, I did my last load of laundry and didn't discover the phone had been in my shorts pocket until I was going to put the clothes in the dryer.

Did the phone at least come out squeaky clean?

I had an iPhone previous to my android based Samsung phone I have now. I like the Samsung just because I like the extra storage I can get by using a memory card.

But I had no gripes with the iPhone, it is still working fine, passed it down to Evan and he is still using it. If Facetime is your primary reason for getting the iPhone, I don't think you'll be disappointed with any and all the other features on it.

Oh, yeah. It's been sitting in silica ever since I got home. I still haven't had the courage to plug it in to see if I can at least retrieve my photos which I hadn't set to go on the Cloud and hadn't done a backup to my laptop that day so lost all the ones that hadn't already been backed up. Had just that day taken a bunch of photos at the Mission San Xavier Del Bac in Tucson. I'd been meaning to go there for over 4 years and finally decided that was the day to do it. Guess I'll be visiting it again for another photo shoot (which I will put on the Cloud!).

Just the once a day? You must have great batteries in yours or be a very light user! ;)
In mine? How very dare you, I ain't no iPhone user. I have a Sony Xperia z3 and if play the simpsons tapped out or watch a few youtube videos I have to charge it every 2 days, if don't do either of those and just text and browse the Internet, 3 days.

i'm an ipad user and my main problem always is my battery, i always charge it because it drain easily even though what i did whole day is i stay in my notes and typed there (altho my problem also is the wire charger of my ipad, i'm used to it because i always buy new and cheap, for temporary)

and my IPAD looks like a trash because :
1. it has a big crack on the side (it already crawl across my screen) because it fall from my lap while celebrating the victory of my bet basketball team in University Competition
2. i only have 16GB in memory and it Sucks
3. sometimes, it was lagging
4. the corners was almost flat
5. the button at the middle needs a much force than pressing it normally to work
6. the camera is in low quality, like it wasn't auto focus like that

my phone was a cheap samsung Galaxy star (old model of galaxy probably) and it has a lots of memory so i depend on it when i'm listening to music. but My ipad helps me in researches and some search-up because i have difficulties touching my phone because my hands were unpoprotioned to my small phone. but since i can't afford buying IPAD, i'm depending on my trash ipad, which helps me a lot and it has significant value to me.

SO YEAH, i love my IPAD and my Samsung phone
