I do! Read The Revenant (Michael Punke) and Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Laini Taylor) :) The Revenant is a western (well, about fur trappers in the 1830s) and Daughter of Smoke & Bone is a YA paranormal that's really impressed me. Taylor is an accomplished writer--this is not her first book--and her use of language and imagery is lovely. Better than any YA author I've so far read. It's the first of a series of three, but I can't speak to the follow-ups. Neither book is a brain bender, but sometimes I just want to relax into a story :)

Do you like your new digs?

Thanks, skimom! I will check those out!
I really love my new home! Before, I was driving 40-45 minutes to work; now it's about 12 minutes away! Yay!

Hi, Everyone!
We are all moved into our new house and just got the Internet installed moments ago!
I am very very very very very very happy to be back online, and I missed you all sooooooo much! I swear I had withdrawal symptoms. I had to go to work (my school where they have WiFi) several times just to check in for bits of time.

School starts back for teachers August 5th (one week)! Then the kids come the 13th. I am fast running out of time.

Anyway, how is everyone? I haven't had time to check all the new posts. Tell me some news!
